Conventionally, although cameras have been used relatively frequently outdoors, with the exception of some special cameras, they have not been able to be used in places where they are prone to rainwater or splashes because water tends to seep into their interiors. Moreover, as the internal mechanisms of cameras have become more electronic in recent years, many cameras have large-scale printed circuit boards, making it necessary to pay even more attention to the ingress of water droplets. This is causing negative effects such as not being able to concentrate on one's work. To prevent these problems, conventional techniques have been proposed, such as injecting a filler into the gap in the outer wall of the camera or coating an insulating material on the printed circuit board. However, such a treatment has the drawbacks of poor workability and large variations in drip-proof performance.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention creates a drip-proof chamber by interposing a water-resistant, elastically deformable, non-conductive member between the bottom cover and the mounting part of the camera body to which the bottom cover is attached. The camera has a drip-proof structure in which a drip-proof circuit device is arranged in the drip-proof chamber, and the non-conductive member has a flat plate shape and has a rising portion that comes into contact with the inner circumferential surface of the mounting portion. , formed in substantially the same shape as the bottom cover, and when the non-conductive member is attached to the attachment portion and the bottom cover is fixed to the camera body, the flat plate portion of the non-conductive member is pressed against the bottom cover. This provides a camera with a drip-proof structure in which the rising portion of the non-conductive member is pressed against the inner circumferential surface of the mounting portion to form the drip-proof chamber.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained based on examples. FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view thereof. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a camera body which itself does not have a watertight structure, and a contact surface member 1a of the camera body 1 protrudes below the camera in a shape that approximately corresponds to the bottom shape of the camera. 2 is a drip-proof cover having a rising portion 2a around the periphery, and 3 is a bottom plate of the camera. The drip-proof cover 2 is made of a water-resistant, non-conductive material such as rubber, and in this embodiment is further provided with elasticity. The drip-proof cover 2 has a flat plate shape with a rising portion 2a corresponding to the inner circumference of the contact surface member 1a of the camera body 1, and is made somewhat larger than the inner shape of the contact surface member 1a. A drip-proof chamber is formed by pressing the rising portion 2a of the drip-proof cover 2 against the inner periphery of the protruding portion of the contact surface member 1a. Electric circuits such as printed circuit boards or devices that should not get wet are stored in the storage chamber 1b surrounded by the contact surface member 1a.

Next, the installation of the drip-proof cover 2 will be explained. Before installing the drip-proof cover 2, an electric circuit is installed in the storage chamber 1b (for example, a printed circuit board is fixed to the camera body 1). Next, the drip-proof cover 2 is bent as shown in FIG. 3 and pushed into the inner periphery of the contact surface member 1a. At this time, the drip-proof cover 2 bends in an arc shape and generates a pressing force on the rising portion 2a and the contact surface member 1a by itself, making the storage chamber 1b drip-proof. Thereafter, when the bottom plate 3 is attached to the camera body 1, as shown in FIG. 2, the arc-shaped drip-proof cover 2 is corrected, so that the rising portion 2a is pressed even more strongly against the contact surface member 1a. For this reason, the camera body 1
Even if water enters through the gap between the camera bottom plate 3 and the camera bottom plate 3, it cannot enter the inside of the camera and remains between the camera bottom plate 3 and the drip-proof cover 2. Note that the camera bottom plate 3 usually has holes 30a and 30b for connection to a tripod female thread, an electric hoisting device, etc.
In that case, the corresponding hole 20 of the drip-proof cover
By making diameters a and 20b smaller than the diameters of the corresponding portions of the camera body, pressure is generated at the seams and water can be prevented from entering the outer peripheral portions.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, protrusions 2b are provided on the entire outer periphery of the rising portion 2a of the drip-proof cover 2, thereby locally increasing the crushing pressure and enhancing the drip-proof effect.

Figures 5a and 5b show another embodiment. A camera body 1 is provided with a groove corresponding to a rising part 2a of a drip-proof cover 2, and the thickness of the rising part of the drip-proof cover is made larger than the groove width. By pushing the rising portion into this groove during assembly, it is possible to prevent water from entering the inside. In this embodiment, it is not necessarily necessary to make the drip-proof cover 2 larger than the inner shape of the contact surface member 1a as in the above-mentioned embodiments, but if they are used together, further effects can be expected.

In the embodiments described above, the periphery of the drip-proof cover 2 is made into a rising part, and this is pressed into contact with the inner periphery of the contact surface member 1a, but the invention is not limited to this. For example, the drip-proof cover 2 may be pressed against the tip (top) of the contact surface member 1a by attaching the bottom plate 3 to the camera body 1 to form a drip-proof structure.

As described above, according to the present invention, by forming a water-resistant, elastically deformable non-conductive member in almost the same shape as the bottom cover, the inside of the camera body is covered by the non-conductive member covering the entire bottom of the camera body. It can be a drip-proof room, and a drip-proof circuit device can be installed here. Furthermore, when installing the non-conductive member between the camera body and the bottom cover, the non-conductive member is pushed by the bottom cover, and the rising part of the non-conductive member comes into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the mounting part of the camera body. Has a drip-proof effect.
