Description
本考案は時刻表示用セグメント電極と、前記時
刻表示用セグメント電極以外に所定のセグメント
電極を備えて、時刻表示に加えて他の表示も同時
に行なえるようにした電子時計に関し、特に時刻
表示用セグメント電極を駆動するセグメント信号
にて上記他の表示用セグメント電極を駆動するよ
うに構成し、以つて該電極専用の駆動回路を省略
して成ることを特徴とした電子時計に関するもの
である。
以下図にもとづいて本考案の実施例を詳細に説
明する。
第１図は本考案に係る電子時計の液晶表示部の
詳細図、第２図は同表示部の駆動結線図である。
図に於て、a1〜g1，a2〜g2，a3〜g3は日の字構
成の数字表示用セグメント電極、Ｋは数字１の専
用表示セグメント電極、COLはコロン表示用セ
グメント電極をそれぞれ示し、これらのセグメン
ト電極により時、分表示を行なえるように構成さ
れている。
又、a1′〜g1′は上記時刻表示用セグメント電極
群の下に平行して設けられた〓マーク表示用のセ
グメント電極群を示し、これらのセグメント電極
群には上記時刻表示用セグメント電極群を駆動す
るセグメント信号がそれぞれ印加されるように配
線されている。
即ち、第２図に於て、LSIは所定のセグメント
信号を出力する時刻表示用の駆動回路を示し、こ
の駆動回路と表示部LCDの各時刻表示用セグメ
ント電極群a1〜g1，a2〜g2，a3〜g3，COL，Ｋ及
びコモン電極COMとは図示の如く接続されてい
て、上記駆動回路から出力されるセグメント信号
に応じて表示部LCDにて所定の時刻表示が行な
われるように構成されている。
ここで、分の１桁目を表示するセグメント電極
a1〜g1と〓マーク表示用セグメント電極a1′〜
g1′とはそれぞれ対応するもの同志、即ち、電極
a1とa1′，g1とg1′というようにそれぞれ接続され
ていて、上記分の１桁目の表示用モグメント電極
a1〜g1に印加される各セグメント信号が同時に〓
マーク表示用セグメント電極a1′〜g1′にそれぞれ
印加されるように考慮されている。
したがつて、今、分の１桁目の表示内容が
「１」のときは〓マークb1′とc1′が表示され、
「２」のときは〓マークa1′，b1′，d1′，e1′，g1′
が
それぞれ表示される。即ち、この場合は１分毎に
表示する〓マークを変更することができるわけで
あり、この様子は第１表に示す通りである。

以上の様に、本考案に係る電子時計は時刻表示
用セグメント電極を駆動するセグメント信号にて
該電極以外の所定のセグメント電極を駆動するよ
うに構成したので、それ専用の駆動回路が全く不
要となり、このためメツセージ表示機能とかゲー
ム機能を附加したにもかかわらず小型軽量で安価
