Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce necessary space of an appearance inspection unit for fiber package by inspecting nap, contamination and incorrect shape simultaneously on a rotary mechanism moving the package substantially. CONSTITUTION:The pirn 1 is rotated with constant speed through package rotary mechanism 14 and irradiated with a light from a nap inspection light source 4 through a slit 11 in an area of dark box 2 partitioned by a shield board 13 thus to inspect the existence of nap through TV camera 3. One dimensional line sensors 5-7 for inspecting contamination will detect dirt stuck to the surface of package through the light from a light source 8. Furthermore, a light source 9 for inspecting incorrect shape will illuminate the vicinity of the end section of yarn or the tapered section of pirn through a slit 12 to detect inflation or collapse of tail section through one dimensional line sensor 10 for inspecting the incorrect shape.

(Prior art) Normally, when shipping a fiber package, it is necessary to inspect the appearance of the package, which generally includes the number of fluffs, the presence of dirt attached to the surface of the package, and the presence or absence of malformations such as deformation of the package. It is customary to perform inspections on the following items.

As described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 2-53041, Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 54-30943, and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 54-142659, items such as package stains, fuzz, and defective shapes were individually inspected. Therefore, in each inspection process for these individual items, a verbal communication device for the package is installed as necessary. Install a dark box or industrial TV. Other necessary equipment must be installed, and overall, two duplicative equipment/mechanisms are required, the line required for the inspection process is longer, and the inspection time required for the entire inspection process is longer. There were many unreasonable points such as these, and the more inspection items were added to ensure thorough quality control, the more the above-mentioned unreasonable points increased.

FIG. 1 is a plan view showing an embodiment of an automatic package inspection apparatus according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a side view, and FIG. 6 is a front view. The apparatus of the present invention inspects the appearance of the par 71 by inspecting the dark box 2, for example, the shield plate 16 (see FIG. 1).
The left half area partitioned by a square (not shown in FIGS. 2 and 6) is used for fuzz inspection, and the lower right half area is used for dirt inspection.

右半分上部の領域をパーン形状不良検査に使用し。The upper right half area is used for inspection of pan shape defects.

Par 71 is an arbitrary package rotation mechanism 14 such as a belt.
Therefore, during inspection, the light source 4 for fuzz inspection is rotated, preferably rotated at a constant speed, and illuminates the par 71 through the light source slit 11 for fuzz inspection. The industrial TV right camera for fluff inspection detects the presence of nine fluffs as a brighter area than the brightness level setting of the light that enters the camera field of view. Dimensional line sensors 5, 6.7 for stain inspection detect stains attached to the package surface as brighter or darker areas than the light/dark level setting. 8 is a light source for stain inspection. The shape defect inspection light source 9 illuminates the vicinity of the end of the two-wound yarn body, or a part of the taper in the case of pirn, through the shape defect inspection light source slit 12, and the shape defect inspection dimensional line sensor 10 illuminates the tail of the package surface. Detects bulges and deformations as bright or dark areas rather than setting brightness levels.

In the automatic package inspection device of the present invention, it is possible to use a light source for inspection, a television camera, a sensor, and a single inspection device. It is important to determine the placement of each device to avoid false detections due to optical systems used in each other interfering with each other.
