Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は磁気テープ等の記録媒体に関するものである。
第１図に示すように従来公知の磁気テープ１は、その面
の磁性体の配向２がテープの全長、全幅にわたり一方向
で一様にオリエンテーションされているが、本発明はを
の磁性体のオリエンテーションを強めた部分と、オリエ
ンテーションを弱め又は無くした部分を有するテープで
あり、同一媒体内でオリエンテーションを異らしめたも
のである。
第２図は本発明実施例を示し、オリエンテーション発生
器を３、４と２個設け、オーディオトラック５はオリエ
ンテーションなしで、コントロールトラック用４は弱い
磁場とし、ビデオトラック用３を強い磁場とし、オーデ
ィオトラック５、コントロールトラック７に比してビデ
オトラック６が強い出力となるようにしたテープ８であ
る。
これはリニアビデオに最適のテープであるが、逆にビデ
オトラック６のオリエンテーションを弱くすればへリカ
ルスキヤンビデオ用に最適のビデオテープを得ることが
できる。
本発明は、テープの磁性体をコーテイングあるいはγＦ
ｅ２Ｏ３をスパツタ式で作つたり、その他種々の変形や
応用が考えられるが、これらはすべて本発明に含まれる
ものである。
