Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は平面状シート素材と波形シート素材と
を接着し積層して得られる脱臭用エレメントの製
造法に関するものである。

素材1と波形シート素材2とを第1図に示す如く
接着積層して片波成形体4となし、該片波成形体
4を第2図に示す如く芯5aの周りに捲回積層し
て両端面に多数の小透孔3が透通した円筒形をな
す回転式の脱臭用エレメントを得ることは本発明
者が特願昭54―92817(特開昭56―15828号)にお
いて開示したところである。

使用されるが、たとえば静電転写式複写器におい
て発生するオゾンの吸着分解に使用する場合には
第3図に示す如く円筒形とは異なる特殊形状の脱
臭用エレメントが要求される。かかる特殊形状の
脱臭用エレメントを成形するに当り第2図に示す
円筒形の芯5aに替えて薄板状の芯5bを使用
し、芯5bの周面に片波成形体4を捲回積層して
成形するときは、片波成形体4の素材である活性
カーボン繊維混入紙が現在のところ充分な保形性
に欠け、注意して捲回積層作業を行なつてても芯
5bの両端付近6,6において片波成形体4の形
状が崩れ小透孔の断面積が著しくせばまり脱臭効
率を減少する欠点があつた。

本発明は上記の欠点を除去するもので以下実施

30〜80%、パルプ、合成パルプ、およびまたはガ
ラス繊維を60〜10%、サイズを5〜10%の割合で
0.1〜0.5mm程度の厚みに抄紙した活性カーボン繊

維混入紙よりなる平面状シート素材1と波形シー
ト素材2とを第1図に示す如く多数の小透孔3が
両側縁に透通した幅20mmの長尺の片波成形体4と
なし、第4図に示す如く径約100mmの円筒状の芯
5の外周に巻付け、所要の厚み40mmまで巻付けた
後芯5を抜き取り、第5図に示す如く中空部を押
潰し所望の形状に成形し両端面の全面にわたり処
理ガスを通過させる小透孔が貫通した脱臭用エレ
メントを得る。このエレメントの寸法は長径250
mm、短径80mm程度である。

5の外周に巻付け、芯5を抜いて巻付けた片波成
形体4の中空部を押潰し所望の形状に成形し、エ
レメント両端面の全面にわたり処理ガスを通過す
るよう構成することを特徴とする脱臭用エレメン
トの製造法。
