The present invention relates to a hair treatment composition having excellent hair finishing effects, which contains a polypeptide and a quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether as essential ingredients. Recently, the environment surrounding hair has become increasingly harsh due to the spread of permanent waves, hair colors, hot colors, hair dryers, etc., and hair treatment agents such as hair rinses and hair treatments are becoming more and more effective. It has become required. This type of hair treatment agent has previously added oil-based ingredients, lecithin, lanolin, polypeptides, etc. to produce a hair finishing effect, but such conventional products do not provide a smooth finish to the hair. For consumers who desire beautiful hair, it is no longer possible to achieve a hair finishing effect that satisfies consumers. An analysis of the cause reveals that these added ingredients originally have a weak adsorption power to the hair, and when used alone, they have little effect on hair finishing. That is, in hair rinses and hair treatments, the above-mentioned additive components are easily washed away during rinsing due to coexisting surfactants and water. In order to meet recent consumer demands, the inventor made extensive efforts to research and develop a hair treatment agent with even better hair finishing effects, and as a result, the inventor discovered that the combination of a polypeptide and a quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether was basically discovered. , we were able to discover new facts that satisfied our intended purpose. That is, the hair treatment composition of the present invention contains 0.1 to 30% of polypeptides having an average molecular weight of 2,000 to 30,000.
(% is based on weight below), quaternary nitrogen content 0.5~
3.5% quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether 0.05
It is characterized by containing ~5%. In this specification, the hair treatment agent refers to a hair rinse and a hair treatment agent whose main purpose is to treat hair, and does not include a hair shampoo whose main purpose is to clean hair. To explain in more detail, polypeptide, which is one of the essential components, is a substance that has both an amino group and a carboxyl group, as represented by the general formula below.
Essentially, this invention does not question the origin of its production, but for practical purposes, collagen protein hydrolysates are preferred. (However, R represents an alkyl group.) However, the average molecular weight of the polypeptide is an essentially important factor for this invention;
Must be in the range of 30000. This is because if the average molecular weight is less than 2,000, the hair finishing effect will not be achieved and the object of this invention will not be achieved.If the average molecular weight is more than 30,000, not only will the hair finishing effect be small, but the hair finishing effect will not be achieved. This is because it becomes water-insoluble, deteriorating its appearance and impairing its commercial value. In addition, the amount of polypeptide blended in the hair treatment composition is required to be 0.1 to 30%; if it is less than 0.1%, the hair finishing effect will be small, and if it exceeds 30%, the water solubility will be insufficient, which will reduce the commercial value. Deteriorate appearance. On the other hand, the quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether, which is another essential component in this invention, is represented by the compound of the following general formula, and must be blended in the hair treatment composition in an amount of 0.05 to 5%. It is. However, in the formula, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 are H or substituents represented by, each different R 4 ,
R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , m, n, p, and q can be taken. m, n, q are each an integer from 0 to 10, p is an integer from 0 to 3, R 4 , R 5 , R 6 are H or
CH 3 and R 7 are CH 3 , C 2 H 5 or C 3 H 7 , X is a halogen, and l is a number from 100 to 20,000. Also, (m+n+q) per glucose unit
The average value of p is from 1 to 3, and the average value of p is from 0.1 to 0.8, preferably from 0.2 to 0.5. Preferred trade names of quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ethers for the purpose of this invention include Polymer JR-125 manufactured by Union Carbide;
There are JR-400, Polymer JR-30M, etc. In addition to the above-mentioned polypeptide and quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether as essential components, the hair treatment composition of the present invention also contains common ingredients contained in general-purpose hair rinses, hair treatments, etc., such as surfactants, oil-based Ingredients, lecithin, solvent,
Flavors, bactericidal agents, pigments, chelating agents, ultraviolet absorbers, inorganic electrolytes, water-soluble polymers, and the like can be blended as appropriate depending on the purpose. According to the hair treatment composition of the present invention, it is possible to reliably obtain superior hair finishing effects compared to conventional hair cosmetics. This is thought to be because the essential components polypeptide and quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether form a complex salt with strong adsorption power on the hair surface, and the coating is difficult to wash away even when washed with water, and exhibits appropriate moisture retention performance. It will be done. Hereinafter, the effects of this invention will be specifically explained with reference to Examples. In addition, in the examples, as hair finishing effects, ease of hair bundling, ease of combing, and coefficient of dynamic friction were evaluated in the following manner, and suitability of product appearance was tested. Ease of bundling of Γ hair Hair strands were treated with a hair treatment composition and evaluated by 20 testers using a paired comparison method using a standard product (Comparative Example 1) as a control. The evaluation criteria were as follows: ++: Easier to tame than the standard product +: Slightly more tangled than the standard product ±: Easier to comb through the Γ comb, equivalent to the standard product Evaluation was made in the same manner as the ease of combing hair. Γ Dynamic Friction Coefficient After treating a hair bundle with a hair treatment composition, it was measured using a Friction Coefficient meter. Γ Product Appearance The hair treatment composition was stored under predetermined conditions for one month, and its appearance was visually observed and evaluated. In other words, if separation, precipitation, etc. occur, the product value will be impaired and it will be marked as unsuitable ×, and if there is no such occurrence, it will be marked as suitable. Examples 1-2, Comparative Examples 1-3 Stearyltrimethylammonium chloride 3%, propylene glycol 10%, ethanol 10
A hair rinse was prepared by blending the polypeptide and quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether into a mixed system consisting of %, and adding purified water to the remainder. Table 3 shows the results of evaluating the performance.

[Table] According to Table 1, Comparative Example 2 in which polypeptide was added showed only the same level of hair finishing effect as Comparative Example 1, which was a commercially available product;
It is clear that the hair rinses of Examples 1 and 2 in combination with nitrogen-containing cellulose ether exhibit better hair finishing effects. Furthermore, the hair rinse of Comparative Example 3 using a polypeptide with an average molecular weight of 1000 does not exhibit any effect when used in combination with quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether. Examples 3-4, Comparative Examples 4-5 Pre-shampoo type hair treatments were prepared and their performance was investigated. Polypeptide and quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether were blended into a mixed system consisting of 0.5% glycerin and 5% glycerin as a water layer component, and purified water was added to the balance, and the performance of the hair treatment was tested.

[Table] As is clear from Table 4, the hair treatment of Comparative Example 14, in which the polypeptide was blended alone, shows only the same level of hair finishing effect as Comparative Example 13, which is a normal hair treatment. However, the hair treatments of Examples 10 and 11 in which the polypeptide and the quaternary nitrogen-containing cellulose ether were used together can exhibit a remarkable hair finishing effect.
