ナー部13において水の流れの方向が変わるため、水の
飛び散りが発生する。じゃま板11は、この内周壁12
近辺の流れを洗濯槽5の内側へ変え、かつ減速させて水

数個設けている。この構成により、洗濯槽6内の水量に
比べ洗濯物6の量が少なく、かつ溢水すすぎを行なう場
合等に、洗濯槽6内の水の流れが早くなるとともに、遠
心力により内周壁12近辺の水位が高くなり循環水流吐
出部1o近傍にまでなり、フィルター9や吐出部側壁部
14に水流が衝突あるいは、吐出部側壁部14をのシ越
えるようになった場合、水流はリプ18に衝突し反射流
により吐出部側壁部14近辺の水流の勢いは緩和される
とともに、覆い部17が、水流が吐出部側壁部14やリ
プ18に衝突した際に生じる水の飛び散りに対する壁と
しての役割を果すことにより、水の機外への飛び散りを
防ぎ床面を濡らすことはない。
