フト方向に移動させる第１アクチエータ及び前記
変速レバーをセレクト方向に移動させる第２アク
チエータを含んで成るギヤシフトユニツトと、前
記変速レバー位置の検出を行なうためのポジシヨ
ンスイツチと、所望のギヤチエンジ位置を示す指
令信号に応答し該ポジシヨンスイツチの作動結果
を示す検出信号を参照しながら前記変速レバーの
位置が前記検出信号に従つて位置決めされるよう
前記第１及び第２アクチエータの駆動を制御する
制御手段とを備えて成る車輛用自動変速装置にお
いて、前記ポジシヨンスイツチによる変速レバー
位置の検出が不可能となつたことを検出する検出
手段と、前記制御手段により位置決めされるその
時々の変速レバーの位置を記憶しておく記憶手段
と、前記検出手段により変速レバー位置の検出が
不可能となつたことが検出された場合に前記記憶
手段の記憶内容に従う変速位置に前記変速レバー
を固定するよう前記第１及び第２アクチエータを
作動させるための制御信号を出力する手段とを備
