り、以下実施例に基いて詳述する。本実施例では
銅板や銅めつき板の表面を硫化着色した後に、ス
クラツチ模様を施していぶし銅調の外観に仕上
げ、次いでこれをアルキツド、メラミン、ポリエ
ステル等の透明合成樹脂焼付塗料で被覆する例が
示してある。すなわち、硫化着色して表面を乾燥
させた後に、スクラツチ模様を施し、次いで上記
の透明合成樹脂焼付塗料を塗布し、これを窒素や
炭酸ガス等の不活性ガスを充填した加熱炉中に導
入して、不活性ガス雰囲気中で透明合成樹脂焼付
塗料を焼付けるわけである。従つて、焼付け時に
銅表面が加熱酸化を受けて変色することがなく、
銅表面のいぶし銅調を損わずに耐候性の高い透明
合成樹脂焼付塗料で銅表面を保護することができ
るものである。また図に示すように透明合成樹脂
焼付塗料Cを銅板A表面に塗布した後、これを上
面が弧状に凸曲した加熱板H上に送り、加熱板H
の上方に配置した遮蔽板Sと透明合成樹脂焼付塗
料Cとの間に不活性ガスを供給しながらこれを焼
付けするようにすれば、焼付時の銅表面の酸化変
色を防止でき、しかも、屈曲性のある透明合成樹
脂焼付塗料を使用することにより、焼付け時に伸
ばされて銅板Aに固着した透明合成樹脂焼付塗料
Cが、加熱板Hを通過した後に圧縮された状態で
銅板Aを覆うため、得られる透明合成樹脂被覆銅
板を例えば雨樋や屋根材に加工する場合でも、透
明合成樹脂焼付塗料Cが割れを起こすことがない
ものであつて、後加工が容易となるものである。
