本発明は自動車のライセンスプレート取付構造

に取付ける場合があるが、例えば第１，２図に示
すようにフロントバンパー１前面にガードモール
デイング２を配設したものにあつては、ライセン
スプレート３の配設地上高さが制約されているこ
とから該ライセンスプレート３がガードモールデ
イング２上に跨つてしまうものである。そこで、
このライセンスプレート３の固定に際してガード
モールデイング２を挾んで、該ガードモールデイ
ング２部分でボルト・ナツト結合することが考え
られるが、ガードモールデイング２は樹脂、ゴム
等の弾性材で形成され、また軽衝突時の緩衝効果
を向上するため図示のように中空部４を形成して
あるものが多いため、ボルト・ナツト締めによつ
てガードモールデイング２が歪んで見栄えを悪化
したり、ボルト・ナツト緊締力にバラツキを生じ
て取付信頼性を損なつてしまうものである。この
ため、通常ライセンスプレート３とバンパー１と
の間にガードモールデイング２の厚み相当のスペ
ーサ（図示省略）を配して、このスペーサ部分で
ボルト・ナツト固定するようにしている。ところ
が、かかる従来の取付手段ではスペーサはライセ
ンスプレート３の取付時に必要となるため、該ス
ペーサを別部品として用意しておく必要があつて
部品管理が面倒になると共に、スペーサ自体をバ
ンパー１に独自に取付けるためライセンスプレー
ト３の取付作業が煩雑になるという不具合があつ

即ち、本発明にあつては第３図乃至第６図に示
すように、バンパー１の前面に装着するガードモ
ールデイング２が、その取付用ボルトを保持させ
るために芯金５を備えている点に着目し、この芯
金５にスペーサ１２を係着してガードモールデイ
ング２にサブアツセンブリするようにしてある。
前述の芯金５は断面チヤンネル形に形成して、ガ
ードモールデイング２の背部下側に沿つて該ガー
ドモールデイング２の背面側に開口６させて埋設
してあり、このガードモールデイング２のバンパ
ー１への取付けに際しては、第２図示のように芯
金５の溝７にボルト８の頭部８ａを係合し、この
ボルト８をバンパー１の所定部位に形成した取付
孔１ａに挿入してバンパー１裏側よりナツト９締

て山形状の切欠部１０を形成して該芯金５の下側
開口縁に切欠部１０に臨む一対の折込片１１を形
成してある。他方、スペーサ１２の上縁部には取
付片１３を一体に延設してあると共に、該取付片
１３の両側部に係着孔１４を形成してある。そし
て、このスペーサ１２はガードモールデイング２
をバンパー１へ装着する以前に、取付片１３をガ
ードモールデイング２下縁の切欠部１０より芯金
５の溝７内に挿入すると共に、芯金５下縁の折込
片１１を取付片１３の対応する係着孔１４に折込
み係着して該ガードモールデイング２にサブアツ
センブリするようにしてある。なお本実施例では
スペーサ１２の上面を切欠部１０の形状に合せて
山形状に形成しているが、これはフラツトに形成
してもよい。図中１５はスペーサ１２に形成した

以上のように本発明によれば、スペーサ１２を

おくことができるので、ガードモールデイング２
をバンパー１前面に装着することで、スペーサ１
２をバンパー１の所定部位に配置することがで
き、従つてライセンスプレート３のバンパー１へ
の取付時には従来のようにスペーサを別部品とし
て管理しておく必要がなく、ガードモールデイン
グ２にサブアツセンブリしたスペーサ１２を介し
て作業性よくボルト・ナツト１６固定することが
できるのである。また、スペーサ１２はガードモ
ールデイング２の芯金５の折込片１１を係着孔１
４に折込み係着して、所謂仮止めした状態である
ため、ライセンスプレート３取付時にバンパー１
の取付孔１ｂとスペーサ１２のボルト挿通孔１５
とに位置ずれが生じた場合でも、例えばドライバ
ー等適宜の工具でボルト挿通孔１５と取付孔１ｂ
とをしごいて孔合せして容易に位置調整すること
