In ordinary det centers, the tip of the center that contacts the center hole of the supported object is formed of a conical surface with no irregularities, so the contact surface is in close contact with the entire circumference, making it difficult to lubricate this part and avoid problems such as seizure and wear, so carbide is used. attached center has been used. However, since the surfaces to be lubricated are still in contact with each other around the entire circumference, if lubricating oil and cooling water are not sufficiently distributed, seizure and wear may occur, resulting in the problem that the product cannot be maintained for the expected service life. Therefore, the present invention has been developed in view of the above, and is an attempt to provide a suitable deposit center. The present invention is to embed high-hardness members at equal intervals along the conical surface of the center, and to make the center slightly higher than the base metal. It is characterized by this.

特徴を有する。
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. Concave grooves 1b of the required length are cut radially at multiple locations at equal intervals along the generatrix of the conical surface 1a that supports the center hole of the supported object at the tip of the center 1, and a high hardness material 2 is inserted into the grooves 1b. Embedded and soldered. Compact diamond, ceramics, ruby, sapphire, cemented carbide, etc. are selected as the material, and a material of a necessary length that can correspond to the size of the center hole of the object to be supported is used. Then, the outer periphery of the embedded high-hardness member 2 is ground along the conical surface so that the outer periphery is formed into the same conical surface, and the portion 1c of the base metal other than the high-hardness member 2 is second-cut and ground. The high-hardness member 2 is formed so that its contact surface with the supported object is slightly higher than the base metal, about 0.1 mm in this example. When the center 1 formed in this way supports an object to be supported, the center hole will come into contact with the peak portion of the high-hardness member 2, and a slight gap will be created in the base metal portion. When the grinding fluid is injected in this state, it enters the gap between the center hole of the rotated object and the center base metal, so that a sufficient cooling and lubricating action is performed and heat generation at the contact portion is suppressed. Therefore, damage to the center due to seizure and wear is reduced, and the life of the center can be extended.
