び運転コストが安くつき、しかも閲覧者にとつて
抵抗なく利用し得るような構成を考えなくてはな
らない。

記本立てを移載するための本立て出し入れ装置を
設け、当該搬送機に対する運転指令手段を前記各

画5内の本立て6の走行通路側端部下側に該本立
て6を若干持ち上げるように横動し得るベルトコ
ンベヤ14を利用したもので、本立て搬出時には
引き込み方向に回動した状態で区画5側に横動
し、本立て搬入時にはその逆に送り出し方向に回
動した状態で区画6側に横動する。15は一方の
棚2の外側において走行通路4の長さ方向に適当
間隔おきに並設した閲覧者用デスクであつて、そ
のデスク上には夫々搬送機運転指令手段16が据
え付けられ、デスク上奥には、棚2内まで水平に
のびる本立て出し入れ用コンベヤ17と、照明器
具18とが設けられている。前記コンベヤ17は
搬送機3の走行方向に対して直交し、本立て6を
その長さ方向(書籍並列方向)に移送するもの
で、その内端部、即ち棚2内に位置する部分は、
搬送機3の本立て出し入れ装置13により昇降台
