The present invention provides 5-tert-butyl-3-(2,
4-dichloro-5-isopropoxyphenyl)-
1,3,4-oxadiazolin-2-one (hereinafter abbreviated as "oxadiazon") and 2-methylthio-
This relates to a herbicide composition characterized by containing 4,6-bis(isopropylamino)-s-triazine (hereinafter abbreviated as "promethrin") as an active ingredient, which would never be expected as a single agent. It is a soil treatment type herbicide composition that has excellent synergistic effects such as being extremely powerful and has a wide herbicidal range, and is extremely safe for crops. In recent years, there has been a demand for further labor saving in agriculture due to labor shortages, and several promising herbicides can be found in field cultivation. However, even among the commonly used pre-emergence soil treatment herbicides, there are only a few herbicides that completely control grass and broad-leaved weeds and have a high degree of selectivity for crops. Therefore, if the pre-emergence treatment herbicide fails to adequately control weeds, it is necessary to manually remove the remaining weeds. The present invention has been completed as a result of various studies aimed at developing a herbicide that meets these needs. Both oxadiazone and promethrin contained in the herbicide composition of the present invention are known herbicides. As a non-hormonal herbicide, oxadiazone has excellent properties and is widely used as a pre-planting treatment for rice fields. (Literature: "Latest herbicide commentary" edited by the Japan Plant Regulation Research Association, 1974) On the other hand, in field cultivation, it has a control and suppressive effect on major field weeds, but it is effective against grass weeds such as foxtail grass and field weeds. The effect may be lower due to differences in soil texture or soil dryness, and it may not be effective against broad-leaved weeds such as chickweed and flea weed, which are major weeds of the Caryophyllaceae family, at the usual dosage (References:
``Weeds and Their Control,'' No. 8, 1970), so it is currently not widely used in field crops. On the other hand, promethrin is used as a non-hormonal herbicide in field crops, and shows control effects on crabgrass, cyperus, and many broad-leaved weeds. For complete eradication, 2 to 3 times the normal usage amount is required.
In this case, phytotoxicity is strong and practicality is poor. As described above, the reality is that neither oxadiazone nor promethrin can completely control harmful field weeds when used as a single agent.However, as a result of various studies, the present inventor has developed a combination of oxadiazone and promethrin. The present inventors have completed the present invention by discovering that a herbicide composition (hereinafter referred to as "the present composition") when mixed at a certain ratio exhibits a surprisingly excellent synergistic herbicidal effect on these grass-like broad-leaved weeds. Such a synergistic herbicidal effect was completely unexpected from the herbicidal properties of oxadiazone and promethrin. The mixing ratio of both active ingredient compounds in the present composition is preferably 1 to 9 parts by weight, preferably 2 to 8 parts by weight of promethrin to 9 to 1 parts by weight, preferably 8 to 2 parts by weight of oxadiazone; It can not only be used as a herbicide for general and field crops such as soybeans, adzuki beans, peanuts, corn, upland rice, wheat, carrots, onions, etc., but also for perennial crops such as mulberry gardens, tea gardens, orchards, and non-permanent crops such as lawns and pastures. It can also be used on agricultural land. The composition has low toxicity and is safe for fish and warm-blooded animals. When using this composition, depending on the purpose of use, it can be used as it is or mixed with pesticide adjuvants to enhance or stabilize the effect, and can be used as a powder, fine granule, etc. by methods commonly used in the field of pesticide manufacturing. It can be used in the form of preparations such as powders, granules, wettable powders, flowable powders, high-concentration micro-dispersants, and emulsions. When these various preparations are actually used,
It can be used directly or diluted with water as desired. The pesticide adjuvant referred to here is the carrier (diluent).
and other auxiliary agents such as spreading agents, emulsifiers,
Examples include wetting agents, dispersing agents, fixing agents, and disintegrants. Liquid carriers include petroleum fractions such as kerosene and light oil;
Aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene and xylene, alcohols such as methanol, butanol and glycol, ketones such as acetone, amides such as dimethylformamide, sulfoxides such as dimethyl sulfoxide, methylnaphthalene, cyclohexane, animal and vegetable oils, fatty acids, Examples include fatty acid esters. Solid carriers include clay, kaolin, talc,
Examples include diatomaceous earth, silica, calcium carbonate, montmorillonite, bentonite, feldspar, quartz, alumina, and sawdust. In addition, surfactants are usually used as emulsifiers or dispersants, such as anionic surfactants such as higher alcohol sodium sulfate, stearyltrimethylammonium chloride, polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether, lauryl betaine, and cationic surfactants. surfactants, nonionic surfactants, and amphoteric surfactants. All formulations can not only be used alone, but also mixed with fungicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators, acaricides, agricultural and horticultural fungicides, soil fungicides, soil conditioners, or nematicides. It can also be used in combination with fertilizers and other herbicides. In the present composition, the content of the active ingredient compound in the formulation is 0.5 to 95% (by weight), preferably 2 to 95% (by weight).
90% (weight). In addition, when weeding with the herbicide composition of the present invention, the amount used varies depending on the target and application conditions, but it is usually 2 to 20 g of active ingredient per are.
Preferably it is in the range of 5 to 12 g. Next, formulation examples of the present composition are listed. Note that "parts" means "parts by weight." Example 1 Emulsion To 45 parts of oxadiazone and 5 parts of promethrin, 35 parts of a mixture of xylene and methylnaphthalene (1:1) was added and dissolved, and then a mixture of polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether and calcium alkylbenzenesulfonate (8:2) was added and dissolved. ) to obtain an emulsifiable liquid preparation. To use it, dilute it with water to a concentration of 0.05 to 1.0%. Example 2 Wettable powder 35 parts of oxadiazone and 15 parts of promethrin are mixed with a carrier of 10 parts of diatomaceous earth and 32 parts of kaolin, and further 8 parts of a mixture of sodium laurate and sodium 2,2'-dinaphthyl methanesulfonate are evenly added. After mixing, it is ground into a fine powder. The wettable powder thus obtained is diluted to a concentration of 0.05-1.0% and used as a suspension. Example 3 Granules A methanol solution of 0.5 parts of polyvinyl acetate was spread as a binder on 96 parts of silica grains (16 to 48 mesh) using an appropriate mixer. , coated to obtain granules. Sprinkle this directly onto the soil. Example 4 Powder A powder is obtained by adding 95 parts of clay to 1 part of oxadiazone and 4 parts of promethrin and mixing and pulverizing. This is used for direct spraying. The excellent herbicidal activity of this composition will be explained below using experimental examples. All experiments were conducted in duplicate, and the results are shown as the average value of each. Experimental example 1 A certain amount of field soil (volcanic ash-promoted loam) was filled in a plastic bucket measuring 40 cm in height, 20 cm in width, and 20 cm in depth, and a certain amount of weed seeds such as foxtail grass, wild grass, white grass, and chickweed were mixed and sown in the top 3 cm of the soil. did.
After sowing weeds, water the soil to a constant level, and immediately add 20ml of each chemical at the specified concentration per vat.
It was sprayed on the soil surface using a small sprayer. The herbicidal effect was investigated by observation 30 days after spraying. The results are shown in Table-1.

た。その結果を表―2に示した。[Table] As is clear from the results shown in Table 1, each single agent could not be expected to completely kill both grass and broad-leaved weeds, whereas this composition completely killed both grass and broad-leaved weeds. It was found that the weed killing range was extremely wide and powerful. Experimental example 2 A certain amount of field soil (volcanic ash, cultivated loam) was filled into a plastic bucket measuring 40 cm in length, 20 cm in width, and 20 cm in depth, and after leveling the surface, soybeans, peanuts, corn, upland rice, cotton, and carrots were filled. A certain amount of seeds were sown and covered with soil to a depth of 1 to 3 cm. After sowing the crops, the soil moisture was adjusted to a constant level, and immediately 20 ml of each drug at a predetermined dilution concentration per vat was uniformly sprayed onto the soil surface using a small sprayer. 20 days after spraying, the degree of chemical damage to each crop was observed and investigated. The results are shown in Table-2.
