Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive resin holder capable of easily forming a printing plate by filling the photosensitive resin in a flat vessel composed of a transparent flexible film having a face releasable from the photosensitive resin after exposure as the wall of the vessel on one side, and another transparent flexible film having an adhesive face as the other vessel wall and sealing the vessel. CONSTITUTION:One side inner wall of the vessel 1 for filling the photosensitive resin 4 is formed with a transparent flexible film 2 of a resin, such as chlorinated PE or chlorosulfonated PP, having a face releasable from the resin 4 after exposure, and the opposite inner wall is formed with a transparent flexible film 3 of PE or the like having a face adhesive to the exposed resin 4, then, the circumferential part 6 is melt fixed except the inlet of the resin 4, the resin 4 in a liquid state is injected, and the inlet is sealed to obtain the holder 5 of the resin 4. The holder 5 is brought into contact with a negative film 12 on the side of the wall 2, and they are sandwiched between two glass plates 11, 13, exposed to the light incident from the plate 13 side for 10-13sec exposed to light incident from the plate 11 side for about 180sec, the resin 4 layer is cut off together with the film 3, and the unexposed part is washed off with a stream of water, thus permitting a printing plate 7 having a pattern 8 good in precision, and having superior printing resistance to be obtained.

Conventional photosensitive resins for plate making come in film form and liquid form, and plate making using liquid photosensitive resin generally requires large-scale equipment, but it can be made by hand. In some cases, an object such as a negative film or an image that contrasts in brightness with the original drawing is placed on glass or other transparent sheet or film, a transparent protective film is placed on top of the photosensitive resin, and a photosensitive resin is poured over the base. Cover the film with a transparent glass plate, expose it to light using an ultraviolet lamp, etc., wash out the uncured resin in the non-exposed areas using water, alkaline water, or other solvents, and after drying, print on the page. The desired resin plate is obtained by post-exposure.

However, in the above operation, air bubbles may be introduced into the photosensitive resin, the amount of resin injected may be insufficient, or the resin may be injected into the frame and transparent films must be inserted on both the top and bottom surfaces of the frame, which is a cumbersome operation. It requires a lot of effort and skill.

In the present invention, the required amount of photosensitive resin is sealed in a flat container with a transparent container wall, and there is no need to worry about air bubbles entering the resin or injection amount being too much or too little. It is easy to make plates without requiring any skill or skill.

To explain the present invention with reference to an embodiment, a flat container (1) containing a photosensitive resin has a container wall (2) in contact with an image such as a negative film, and an outer surface in contact with the image has a removability. The container wall (8 ) is formed of a transparent and flexible synthetic resin film that has adhesive properties to the photosensitive resin (after exposure) sealed in the container. If the film forming the vessel wall (8) does not adhere to the photosensitive resin, it will tend to peel off during work such as washing out the resin in non-exposed areas, making the work unstable and extremely difficult. Further, it is preferable that the film constituting the vessel wall has good heat sealing properties.

The film constituting the container wall (2) mentioned above includes polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and other films with the same effect, and the film constituting the container wall (3) includes:
For example, in addition to chlorinated polyethylene, chlorinated polypropylene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorosulfonated polypropylene, etc., surface treatment by applying chlorinated or chlorosulfonated polyethylene or polypropylene to at least the contact surface with the photosensitive resin; synthetic resin film can be used. These two films are formed in the required amount according to the amount of resin to be accommodated, and the container (1) is formed by overlapping the two films and heat-sealing the edges, leaving an opening. A certain amount of photosensitive resin (4
) using a vacuum filling device, etc., so as not to contain air bubbles and leave no air space between the container wall and the resin.
The edges of the opening are sealed by welding or the like to obtain a photosensitive resin holder (5). (6) is a welded portion on the periphery.

For example, in the photosensitive resin sealed in the container, the uncured resin in the non-exposed area invented by the present inventors is emulsified and dissolved in water etc., and the interface with the cured resin in the exposed area becomes cloudy, causing the uncured resin to become cloudy. There is a method that makes it easier to determine the end point of the process. This photosensitive resin consists of a water-soluble prepolymer having at least seven acryloyl groups CH2=CHC0- or methacryloyl groups cH2=C(CH3)Co- at the terminal or side chain, and a water-insoluble polymer such as a vinyl ester type or acrylic type. The composition contains appropriate amounts of a photosensitizer and a water-insoluble substance selected from the water-insoluble prepolymer and/or the above-mentioned water-insoluble seven polymers. In this case, the resin obtained by blending and uniformly mixing the above-mentioned water-soluble prepolymer, water-insoluble substance, and photosensitizer is such that when the resin is washed out with condensate that has been exposed to light, the resin in the non-exposed areas becomes an emulsion. It is formulated to dissolve and whiten at the interface with the resin in the exposed area. Generally, the above blending ratio is 700 parts of water-soluble prepolymer (
(parts by weight, the same applies hereinafter) to 5~/! of the water-insoluble substance! o parts, photosensitizer 0.1 to 90 parts, preferably 700 parts of water-soluble prepolymer, water-insoluble substance o~/θθ parts, photosensitizer θ,j~3o parts.

The above composition may optionally be selected from diacetone acrylamide, N-vinyl-α-pyrrolidone, α-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, α-hydroxyethyl acrylate, acrylamide, isobutyl vinyl ether, dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, methoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate, etc. A predetermined amount of at least seven types of water-soluble monomers are blended for the purpose of dilution, etc., to appropriately adjust the viscosity of the composed resin to make it easier to handle, and to prevent clouding of the interface with the cured resin during washing after exposure. It is possible to adjust the strength and the physical properties of the plate formed.

An example of a method for producing a plate, such as a letterpress, using the photosensitive resin sealed in this container will be described below. Place a glass plate of an appropriate size on the table, place the negative film 0 on the glass plate Qll so that it forms a normal image, and place the container wall (
2) against the negative film and place the photosensitive resin holder (5) against the negative film.
), and a glass plate Q3 is placed on top of this photosensitive resin holder so that the photosensitive resin (4) in the holder maintains a uniform thickness and is not unevenly distributed, and is spread uniformly. In this case, it is preferable to insert a spacer QΦ approximately corresponding to the thickness of the plate to be formed at the peripheral edge between the glass plate α3 and the glass plate α or at one of the opposing edges. Then, clamp and fix the glass plates on both sides of the upper and lower sides with the edges (lips, etc., as shown in Figure 3), and expose them using the exposure device αQ (see Figure 1).
. Hereinafter, as in the conventional method, exposure is first performed from the glass plate α3 side for a short time, and then from the glass plate α◇ side for a relatively long time.

The exposed and hardened resin part (8) remains as a convex surface, and when the interface Q sand becomes cloudy, water washing is stopped and the water is drained (Fig. 1).This cloudy interface is removed by hot air, etc. When dried, it becomes transparent.
