式のロツカアームと、このロツカアームの中間部に当接
せしめられこれを上記口ツカシャフトを支点として揺動
せしめるカムとを有する内燃機関の動弁系において、上
記ロツカアームはカムシャフトに軸支される側の第1の
アームとバルブステムに当接せしめられる側の第2のア
ームとの分離した2個のアームにより構成され、これら
第1、第2アームは共通の固定軸により該固定軸を中心
として相対回動自在に連結され、それにより両アームは
両アームが一体的に延びる作動位置と固定軸を中心とし
て折れ曲った不作動位置とを選択的にとることができ、
更に上記第1、第2アーム間には該両アームの相対回動
を防止して両アームを作動位置に一体的にロックするロ
ック手段と該ロック手段を所定時に解除するロック解除
手段と、両アームを上記作動位置に向って常時付勢しロ
ック解放時に両アームを作動位置に復帰せしめる復帰手
段とが設けられることを特徴とする内燃機関における吸
排気弁の作動停止機構。
