Claims

a cam that rotates in synchronization with engine rotation; a rocker arm that has one end in sliding contact with the cam to transmit the lift of the cam; and a rocking cam that swings in accordance with the other end of the rocker arm;
A slider is provided at the contact portion between the rocker arm and the six swinging cams, and engages with one of the six swinging cams so as to be able to swing, while slidably making surface contact with the other. An intake/exhaust valve drive device for an internal combustion engine, comprising: a valve lever for transmitting power to the rocker arm; and means for displacing the center of swing of the rocker arm according to engine operating conditions.
