できるようにした自動車の車体鋼板の接合装置に
関するものである。

自動車の車体には、フランジ部分をヘミング加
工し、このヘミング加工部分を接合して形成する
部分がある。この場合従来においては、第1図に
示すように接合する2枚の車体鋼板1,2のうち
の一方の車体鋼板2の接合部分を内側に屈折し、
この屈折部分を他方の車体鋼板1の内側に当て
て、スポツト溶接3をし、第2図に示すように接
合部表面をロー付け加工4で仕上げるものが普通
であつた。しかしながらこのようにした場合、接
合部5が厚くなつてしまう問題があつた。

の巾aに相当する距離までのヘミング加工部上側
部分とを予め切除し、ヘミングを接合部の後方よ
り行なう。そしてフランジの接合部には、板厚分
だけ下げてフランジ根元側に突出部7が形成され
ている。
