Decorative materials made by adhering decorative veneers to the surface of wood base materials such as laminated wood have been used for various purposes. When used on parts that are susceptible to shocks, the decorative veneer on the surface is very thin, so the decorative veneer tends to chip or peel at the corners, and if used for a long period of time, , the decorative veneer will wear out and spoil its appearance.

Furthermore, the rate of expansion and contraction of this decorative material due to moisture absorption and desorption of the base material, as well as the expansion and contraction of the decorative veneer on the surface,
Due to the different rates of shrinkage, cracks occur in the decorative veneer with a thin surface, and as a result, the decorative veneer has the disadvantage that it becomes uneven and, in severe cases, cracks occur.

On the other hand, as a means to prevent the surface decorative veneer from cracking due to the difference in shrinkage between the base material and the decorative veneer, as shown in FIG. These are bonded and integrated by interposing a plywood c with excellent properties so that the shrinkage and expansion of the base material a will not affect the decorative veneer b on the surface.

However, when a decorative material with such a structure is used for a decorative material with a decorative surface on the top and side surfaces, such as a stile or stair tread, the occurrence of unevenness on the decorative veneer b cannot be prevented. However, on the other hand, due to the difference in shrinkage rate between base material a and plywood c, the end bonding surface d of plywood boards c and c placed on the top and side surfaces of base material a
The shearing force due to the shrinkage rate of the base material a acts concentratedly on the joint, and as a result, the bonding surface d of the joint part shifts, and furthermore, the bonding surface d opens and creates a gap. There was a drawback that cracks were formed in the decorative veneer b attached to the joint surface of the plywood c. or,
In order to strengthen the corners of decorative materials, steps are formed at the corners of the wood base material, and rod-shaped bodies made of synthetic resin injection treated wood are fitted into the steps, but the wood base material Due to expansion and contraction due to moisture absorption and moisture release, stress acts on the joint surface between the rod-shaped body and the stepped portion, resulting in an opening at the joint surface. Such a situation can be solved by pasting plywood on a wooden base material as shown in Figure 4, providing a step on the plywood forming the corner, and fitting a rod-shaped body made of synthetic resin injection treated wood into the step. Even when the plywood is bonded together, the joint surfaces of the plywood sheets are not reinforced in any way by the rod-shaped body, so the phenomenon of opening of the joint surfaces as described above occurs. If a section is formed, there will be no bonding surface between the plywood pieces, and the end surfaces of the plywood pieces will be bonded to the side and bottom surfaces of the rod-shaped body, respectively, resulting in the gaping phenomenon of the bonded surfaces. cannot be prevented.

In order to eliminate such drawbacks, the present invention has been developed by cutting the corners of the joint ends of the plywood sheets attached to the top and side surfaces of the base material so that a part of the joint remains between the two plywood sheets. By cutting out the stepped part where one end of the joint of the plywood is exposed on the surface and fitting a rod-shaped corner forming member made of synthetic resin injection treated wood into this stepped part, By firmly fixing the joint of both plywood boards with a rod-shaped body made of synthetic resin injection treated wood, it is possible to eliminate the phenomenon of opening of the joint surface despite changes in the dimensions of the base material, and also to prevent the opening of the joint surface. Strength and cosmetic properties that prevent cracking or peeling of the surface decorative material even when used on parts with severe corner damage such as materials, and have excellent wear resistance and maintain good cosmetic properties for a long period The present invention provides a decorative material with excellent corner reinforcement.

Next, FIG. 2 shows a corner-reinforced decorative material formed for stair treads, in which a top plywood 2 and a side plywood 3 are adhesively coated on the top and side surfaces of a plate-like base material 1.
The ends to be joined are removed at an angle of 45 degrees to form an inclined end face, and the inclined end faces are butted and joined to form a corner, and one end of the joining surface 4 is exposed at the corner. After cutting the notch step 5 as shown in FIG. However, a part of the corner-shaped member 6 is made to protrude from the stepped portion 5 so as to serve also as a slip prevention member.

FIG. 3 shows a corner reinforced decorative material formed as a threshold member, in which a plywood 2 is pasted on the top surface of a base material 1, and the bottom surface of the end of the top plywood 2 protrudes outward from both ends of the base material. The corner parts formed by joining the upper end surfaces of the side plywood boards 3, 3 attached to both sides of the base material 1 are cut out in a stepped manner to form step parts 5, 5 in which one end of the joining surface 4 is exposed. Rod-shaped corner forming members 6, 6 made of synthetic resin injection-treated wood are attached to these step portions 5, 5.
are fitted and adhered to each other, and further, synthetic resin injection-treated thin wood plates 7, 8, 8 are pasted from the surfaces of both plywood boards 2, 3 to the surfaces of corner forming members 6, 6.

As described above, the corner-reinforced decorative material of the present invention is produced by pasting the plywood boards 2 and 3 on the top and side surfaces of the base material 1.
At the same time, the corners of the joints of these plywood boards 2 and 3 are cut out stepwise between the two plywood boards 2 and 3 so that a part of the joint remains, and plywood is coated on the surface. A step part 5 is formed through which one end of the joint surface 4 of the two plywood plates 2 and 3 is exposed, and a bar-shaped corner forming member 6 made of synthetic resin injection-treated wood is fitted and fixed to the step part 5. Not only is the joint part of plywood boards 2 and 3 hidden by the corner forming member 6 for a beautiful appearance, but also the surfaces of both plywood boards 2 and 3 that are perpendicular to the joint surface are injected with synthetic resin. Since the corner forming member 6 made of treated wood is integrally bonded on the same plane, both plywood boards 2 and 3 are able to absorb the same shearing force due to shrinkage of the base material 1 that acts on the joint of both plywood boards 2 and 3. By dispersing the direction along the surface of the corner forming member 6 that is bonded at the surface, it is possible to prevent deviations and gaps between the bonded surfaces of both plywood boards 2 and 3, and also to prevent the corner forming member 6 from adhering to the plywood surface. It can also prevent cracks and unevenness in the surface decorative material, and since the corners of the decorative material are formed rigidly by the corner forming members 6 made of synthetic resin injection-treated wood, it is easier to use than wood materials. It has superior strength, abrasion resistance, and impact resistance compared to other materials, and has little dimensional change due to moisture absorption, etc., so it will not fall off from the step 5 and there is no risk of damage to the corners of the decorative material due to impact, etc. It is something.

In addition, since the decorative material of the present invention uses synthetic resin injection-treated thin wood board 7 as a decorative board attached to the plywood surface, the abrasion resistance and impact resistance of the surface can be significantly improved, and the synthetic resin The high transparency of the thin wood board created by injecting and curing the resin liquid makes it possible to form a beautiful decorative surface that further emphasizes the wood grain.
Since it is attached to the surface of the base material 1 through the plywood 2, it is not affected by dimensional changes such as contraction and expansion of the base material 1, and the occurrence of unevenness and cracks is prevented, so it can be used for a long time. You can keep the cosmetic surface, and the upper frame,
It is useful as architectural members such as thresholds and stair treads, or as floorboards for vehicles.
