However, in such a joint structure of stepped plates,
It is not easy for a skilled worker to prevent the adhesive used during the bonding work from seeping out from the corners of the stepped portion 4. Further, it takes a lot of effort to completely remove the oozing adhesive.

occurs continuously. When the thin plate 2 having such continuous chips 2b is joined to the smooth side surface of the thick plate 1, the continuous chips 2b appear as an unsightly streak at the corner of the step. Needless to say, when stepped boards with streaks are used for furniture doors, fittings, etc. where aesthetics are important, the commercial value of the boards is reduced.

The present invention was created with the aim of solving the problems of the prior art as described above. The means adopted to solve the problem is a stepped board formed by mutually joining an organic board having a reinforcing layer on the surface side and a side member whose surface is raised higher than the surface of the organic board, A protruding horizontal strip formed by leaving a reinforcing layer is provided at the joint portion of the organic board, and a horizontal groove corresponding to the protruding horizontal strip of the organic board is provided at the joint portion of the side member. The protruding horizontal stripes of the organic board are inserted into the horizontal recessed grooves of the organic board, and the joint sides of the organic board are bonded together.

According to the above-mentioned means, the protruding horizontal stripes made of the reinforcing layer on the surface side of the organic board have the same effect as if they were driven into the horizontal grooves of the side members like continuous nails or wedges. None, exhibits excellent anchoring effect. Therefore, the bonding strength between the organic board and the side member is extremely high, and a sturdy stepped board can be obtained. In addition, since the continuous chips that often exist at the dimensional cutting edges of the organic board are buried and hidden within the horizontal grooves of the side members, streak-like scratches do not appear at the rising corners of the stepped portions. Therefore, the obtained stepped boards are useful for use in furniture doors and fittings where aesthetics are important.

The organic board 6 may be made of plywood commonly known as plywood, fiberboard commonly known as fiberboard, verteckle board commonly known as chipboard, or other organic boards as its core material, or in some cases, a peripheral side part. The core rod is framed by a connecting material, and a flat material is used, with veneers attached to both the front and back sides. The surfaces of these core materials are covered with a reinforcing layer 6a that also serves as a decoration. Of course, both the front surface and the back surface of the core material may be covered with the reinforcing layer 6a. The reinforcing layer 6a is a decorative board made of hard synthetic resin or veneer, and is attached to the front side or both front and back sides of the core material using an adhesive suitable for the properties thereof. When pasting,
Pressure and heat are applied until the adhesive hardens. Therefore, the reinforcing layer 6a exhibits much higher strength than the core material portion. A protruding horizontal strip 7 formed by leaving the reinforcing layer 6a is provided at the joint portion of the organic board 6 formed in this manner.

The other side member 8 is mainly made of plywood or particle board, and a film 8a made of hard synthetic resin is pasted on the front and back surfaces excluding the joints and on the non-joint sides, and a film 8a made of hard synthetic resin is pasted on the inside of both edges on the front side. The fillers 12, 12 were applied to form a curved surface, and the overall shape was a long plate-like body or a rod-like body.
This side member 8 does not need to be limited to the one described above. For example, although not shown, it may be entirely made of natural wood, with decorative coating applied to the outer peripheral surface except for the joints, and similarly to the organic board 6, plywood may be used as the core material. It may be a plate-shaped body or a rod-shaped body made of fiberboard, particle board, or flash material, with decorative plywood bonded to both the front and back surfaces and the non-bonded sides. The formation of curved surfaces on both edges on the front surface side is also not limited, and may simply be chamfered to an appropriate size. At the joint of the side member 8 formed in this way,
Horizontal grooves 9 corresponding to the protruding horizontal stripes 7 of the organic board 6 are provided. This horizontal groove 9 is provided at a position that is lowered by an appropriate dimension from the surface depending on the purpose of the stepped plate and the customer's wishes.

The protruding horizontal stripes 7 of the organic board 6 are fitted into horizontal grooves 9 provided at the joint of the other side member 8, and the organic board 6 is fitted into the horizontal groove 9 provided at the joint of the other side member 8, and the joint sides 6b, 8b are brought into close contact with each other. and the side member 8 are joined to form a stepped plate that appears to be an integral piece from the beginning. When joining the organic board 6 and the side member 8, the protrusion side surface 7b and the protrusion back surface 7 of the protruding horizontal strip 7 are prepared in advance.
Adhesive is applied to c and the joining side surface 6b. Furthermore, if necessary, adhesive may also be applied to the joining side surface 8b of the side member 8 and the inside of the horizontal groove 9. Although it may be felt necessary to apply adhesive to the protrusion surface 7a, in that case it is best to keep the amount as small as possible. This measure is taken to prevent excess adhesive from seeping out from the raised corners of the step. Note that when using a relatively thick organic board 6 (for example, 15 mm or more) (of course, in this case, the thickness of the side member 8 is also usually thick), both the organic board 6 and the side member 8 are Real small holes 6c, 8c facing each other are provided on the slightly back sides of the joining sides 6b, 8b, and these real small holes 6c, 8c are provided.
It is preferable to insert the glue 11 coated with adhesive over a period of time. Although not shown in the drawings, instead of the bolt 11, other commonly used joining means such as a mortise and tenon fitting may be used as an auxiliary measure. In this way, the bond between the organic board 6 and the side member 8 becomes even stronger. Needless to say, it is not necessary to take such auxiliary measures when joining relatively thin organic boards 6.

Next, a method of manufacturing the proposed plate will be explained. As shown in FIG. 3, the joints in the organic board 6 are processed by cutting off the flesh on the back side with a cutter, leaving the edges of the reinforcing layer 6a coated on the front side. Then, the edge portion of the reinforcing layer 6a that remains after being cut away becomes the protruding horizontal strip 7, and the shaved surface of the protruding horizontal strip 7, which is perpendicular to the rear surface 7c of the protruding strip, becomes the joining side surface 6b. and,
Using a cutter, make a real small hole 6c in this joint side surface 6b.
form. On the other hand, processing of the joint part in the side member 8 involves cutting a horizontal groove 9 at a position that is an appropriate dimension below the surface in the area that will become the joint side surface 8b, and also cutting a horizontal groove 9 at a position facing the actual small hole 6c of the organic board 6. A real small hole 8c is cut at the position. At this time, if
When the side surface of the plate-shaped body or rod-shaped body that is the material of the side member 8 is covered with a decorative layer, the decorative layer is scraped off at the portion that will become the joining side surface 8b, and the surface is finished with good adhesiveness. Next, the joining side surface 6b of the organic board 6
Adhesive 10 is applied to the actual small hole 6c, the joining side surface 8b of the side member 8, the horizontal groove 8c and the real small hole 8c, respectively.
Apply. At this time, if necessary, organic board 6
The adhesive 10 is also applied to the protruding end surface 7b and the protruding back surface 7c of the protruding horizontal strip 7. And real small hole 6
The bolt 11 coated with adhesive is inserted into either the small hole 8c or the small hole 8c. Subsequently, the protruding horizontal stripes 7 of the organic board 6 are fitted into the horizontal grooves 9 of the side member 8, and pressed until the mutual joining sides 6b and 8b come into close contact. Finally, by curing the adhesive 10 until it hardens, the organic board 6 and the side member 8 are firmly joined, thus completing the stepped board.

Unlike boards made of natural wood, artificially manufactured organic boards usually have a reinforcing layer on the surface made of hard synthetic resin or the like.
Therefore, in the proposed board, the properties of the above-mentioned reinforcing layer are utilized to play a role similar to that of a wedge or nail that firmly connects the organic board and the side member. That is, when adhesively joining an organic board and a side member, the protruding horizontal stripes formed by the reinforcing layer of the organic board are inserted into the horizontal grooves formed in the side member, so that the joining sides of the organic board and the side member are brought into close contact with each other. Ba,
The protruding horizontal stripes act like wedges or nails that are continuous in the longitudinal direction, and produce a strong anchoring effect similar to when driven into the horizontal grooves of the side members. Therefore, the plate according to the present invention, which is formed by joining the organic board and the side members, has superior strength to that of a stepped plate made from an integral material from the beginning.

Furthermore, when the organic board is cut to size, continuous knife scratches that remain as chips on the cut surface side of the organic board are hidden by being buried in the horizontal grooves of the side members.
Since the organic board and the side member can be joined without removing such cutter scratches, the manufacturing efficiency can be improved even by unskilled workers, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced. In addition, the proposed board is suitable for furniture where aesthetics are important because there will be no streaky scratches caused by seepage of adhesive at the rising corners of the raised steps formed by joining the organic board and the side members. A finished surface with a high appearance quality suitable for use as doors and fittings can be obtained.
