<Background and Prior Art> Conventionally, the packaging of handles and other ring-shaped articles for automobiles, etc. has a large internal space, which tends to waste packaging space, and is difficult to package. In the case of items that have a centrally protruding hub, such as a car steering wheel,
Stacking and packaging a large number of items was difficult and difficult to handle. For example, as conventionally shown in FIG. 12, two upper and lower fixing members h and h' are inserted into a rectangular box, and the outer circumference of a ring-shaped article H such as a handle is inserted into a fitting groove formed in the fixing members. The conventional practice was to fit and fix the pieces one after another, package them, and use them for transportation and storage.
However, the storage efficiency per unit volume was poor and there was room for improvement in terms of packaging work. Furthermore, articles such as instrument panels that are separate from such ring-shaped articles have conventionally been individually packaged, which is extremely inconvenient in terms of transportation and storage.

<Purpose> This invention solves the above-mentioned problems with conventional packaging materials for ring-shaped items such as handles, has good storage efficiency, and can also be partially used for packaging other parts, reducing the packaging work. The purpose is to provide packaging materials that are easy and suitable for transportation and storage.

<Structure> The structure of this invention to achieve the above object is that one of the packaging materials, which is formed entirely of synthetic resin foam and has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, has fittings on the outer periphery that can be connected to each other. In addition to forming concave and convex portions, a plurality of recesses for storing handles and other ring-shaped articles are formed on one side. are formed so that they intersect and overlap each other, and a plurality of recesses are formed on the other side to accommodate one side of another article such as an instrument panel,
The one packaging material is made entirely of synthetic resin foam, has fitting uneven parts that can be connected to each other, and can individually store the other side of another article stored in the one packaging material. It is characterized in that it is formed by combining a plurality of other packaging materials each having a concave portion formed therein.

Reference numeral 10 designates one of the packaging materials, which is made of a synthetic resin foam and has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape as a whole (see FIGS. 1 to 5). 11, 11... are recesses on one side that can accommodate a plurality of handles, rims for two-wheeled vehicles, or other ring-shaped articles A, and are capable of storing a plurality of ring-shaped articles A in an inclined state, and that allow adjacent ring-shaped articles A to are formed so that they intersect at some parts (see especially FIG. 4). 12, 12... are protrusions 13, 13... which protrude into the recesses 11, 11... at the entrances of the storage recesses 11, 11... and are sloped so as to become narrower toward the inside (see Fig. 5), and are used for handles, etc. Insert the ring-shaped article A from the wide side and use the elasticity of the foam to push it into the recesses 11, 1 from the protrusions 12, 12 which become narrower towards the inside.
1. Once pushed inside, it is convenient for preventing it from floating or flying out in a shock during transportation.

The foam forming the above-mentioned packaging materials 10 and 20 may be foamed polystyrene, or a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer composed of 2 to 25% by weight of maleic anhydride and 98 to 75% by weight of styrene. Coalescence or as above, add 2 to 25 maleic anhydride
When using a foam made of a blend of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer containing % by weight and another thermoplastic resin (for example, polybutadiene), the heat resistance can be improved more than that of foamed polystyrene.

Next, an example of the use of this packaging material will be described. A plurality of ring-shaped articles A such as handles are stored in the recesses 11, 11, . . . of one of the packaging materials 10. Then, the other article B such as an instrument panel is stored with its other side b2 in the recess 21 of the other packaging material 20, and while it is in the stored state, the side b1 of the other article B is sequentially placed with the other side b1. By sequentially inserting the packaging material 10 so that it is stored in the recess 14 on the other side and connecting the other packaging materials 20 and 20 to each other, a ring-shaped article A such as a steering wheel and another article B such as an instrument panel can be easily separated. can be stored in a package with good cushioning properties (see FIGS. 10 and 11), making it extremely easy to store. In addition, in the figure, 30 indicates the packaging exterior, and C indicates instruments included in the separate article B, such as an instrument panel.

<Effects> According to the packaging material of this invention configured as described above, the ring-shaped articles A such as handles can be stored in an inclined state, and adjacent ring-shaped articles A are stored so that they partially intersect with each other. Recesses 11, 11
Since a plurality of ... are formed on one packaging material 10,
A plurality of ring-shaped articles A can be efficiently stored in as little storage space as possible. Further, the other side b2 of another article B such as an instrument panel is stored in the other packaging material 20,
If these are sequentially stored in one packaging material 10 and the other packaging materials 20 are connected to each other by the fitting uneven parts, they can be easily stored together with the ring-shaped article A such as a handle in a set of packaging forms with good impact resistance. This allows the overall packaging to be made more compact.

In addition, since the entire packaging material is made of synthetic resin foam, if the ring-shaped article A is stored too tightly, it will tend to stick to the recess, and it will not have the cushioning properties unique to foam. At the same time, the ring-shaped article A and the like can be protected in a good storage condition within the recess.

In particular, in the case of the recesses 11, 11..., if the protrusions 12, 12... are formed at the entrances thereof so as to protrude into the recesses 11 and become narrower towards the inside, the protrusions 12, 12... may be temporarily stored in the recesses 11, 11... The ring-shaped article A can be prevented from escaping from the recesses 11, 11, .

As described above, the shock-absorbing packaging material of this invention can easily store steering wheels and other ring-shaped items and other separate items such as instrument panels in an extremely reliable and efficient manner, and facilitates the transportation and storage of these items. It can exhibit excellent practical effects such as being convenient to use.
