Chain conveyor-type sludge scrapers used in settling basins are operated with the scraping chain submerged in ice and cannot be seen from above the pond, making it difficult to detect breaks in the scraping chain or accidents where the wheels fall off.

For this reason, conventionally, a striker has been provided protruding from the shaft end of the driven sprocket on which the scraping chain is suspended, as shown in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Application Nos. 52-7963 and 1987-14766. , the lower end of a vertically movable detection rod with its upper end facing outside the sedimentation basin is positioned near the striker, one end of a lever, bell crank, etc. is fixed to the lower end of the detection rod, and the other end is attached to the striker. The detection rod is moved up and down through the lever, bell crank, etc. by the operation of the striker, and the up and down movement is electrically detected to prevent breakage or derailment of the scraping chain. A detection device has been proposed.

しかしながら、これらの装置は、ストライカの

However, in these devices, since the detection rod is moved up and down by the intermittent operation of the striker, a jumping phenomenon of the detection rod occurs, which may lead to erroneous operation when electrical detection is performed.
In addition, since levers and bell cranks are interposed, if sludge accumulates near the lever fulcrum or bell crank fulcrum and the lever is buried, it will not operate and will display a failure status. The drawback was that it lacked reliability as a detection device.

Therefore, in the present invention, an eccentric rotating drum is fitted to the shaft end of the driven sprocket on which the scraping chain is suspended, a ring is rotatably provided on the eccentric rotating drum, and the lower end of the detection rod is pivoted to the ring. At the same time, the upper end faces the outside of the sedimentation tank.
The purpose of this is to use a simple structure to determine whether a submerged chain has broken or fallen off.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a highly reliable chain breakage detection device for a sludge scraper or the like that can be detected visually or electrically from above a pond and can prevent accidents.

Reference numeral 15 denotes an eccentric rotating drum fitted to the end of the shaft 16 of the driven sprocket 5. A connecting rod 17 parallel to the shaft 16 connects the drum 15 and the driven sprocket 5, and rotates as the driven sprocket 5 rotates. The eccentric rotating drum 15 also rotates. 18 is a ring rotatably provided on the outer periphery of the eccentric rotating drum 15;
19 is a detection rod, a first rod 19a whose lower end is pivoted to the bracket 18a of the ring 18, and a second rod 19 whose upper end faces into the scale cap 20.

The first rod 19c is connected to the lower end of the sedimentation tank 19c, and the first rod 19c is connected to the lower end of the sedimentation tank 19c.
9a is held by holding members 21a and 21b, and the second rod 19b is held by a holding member 21c so as to be slidable in the vertical direction, and the amplification rod 19c is deviated from its approximately middle portion toward the upper end of the first rod 19a. This part is pivotally supported by a pin 19d.

Next, the operation of the above device will be described. When the transmission shaft 10 is rotated by the Ikegami motor through the reducer 11, the sprocket 12, the chain 1,
The drive sprocket 3 is rotated via the drive shaft 3 and the sprocket 14. The rotation of the sprocket 3 drives the scraping chain 7 in a circulating manner, and the sludge on the bottom of the pond is scraped up into the pit 2 by the scraping plate 8 and then discharged to the outside.

This circulating drive of the scraping chain 7 also rotates the driven sprockets 4, 5, and 6, and the rotation of the driven sprocket 5 causes the eccentric rotating drum 15 to rotate eccentrically about the shaft 16, and the first rod 19a is rotated through the ring 18. This movement is amplified by the amplification rod 19c, and the second rod 19b moves up and down. If the second rod 19b is moving up and down, the scraping chain 7
is operating normally, and this vertical movement can be detected mechanically and electrically.

When the scraping chain 7 and the chain 13 are cut or derailed, the driven sprockets 4, 5, and 6 stop rotating, and accordingly, the rotation of the eccentric rotating drum 15 stops, and the vertical movement of the first rod 19a stops. And the second
The rod 19b also stops moving up and down. At this stop, chain breakage or derailment can be detected.

As mentioned above, the present invention converts the rotation of the eccentric rotating drum into vertical movement of the rod, and detects the presence or absence of vertical movement of the tip of the rod. With a simple structure, it is possible to detect whether or not the chain has broken. This can be easily recognized from the upper part of the pond, and if an amplifying rod is used as the detection rod, the vertical movement can be amplified, thereby making it possible to more reliably recognize disconnection or derailment, thereby preventing accidents.

Furthermore, unlike the conventional method in which the detection rod is moved up and down using a lever or bell flank using a striker, accurate detection is possible, and detection can be performed even if the eccentric rotating drum is buried in sludge. It is also highly reliable.
