[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to wallpaper having novel features. More specifically, an acrylic film that has been matted by adding a polymeric matting agent is laminated on the surface of PVC wallpaper. The present invention relates to wallpaper having an extremely excellent feature that its appearance hardly changes even after long-term use.

PVC wallpaper has traditionally been used in large quantities in place of textile wallpaper, but most of them are basically made by coating a paper base with PVC sol and printing various colors and patterns on the surface. Because they are made using a process of heat embossing to give the surface an uneven pattern, they have an excellent initial design, but many of them lose their beautiful appearance over time. This is because PVC sol, which contains a large amount of plasticizer, basically has poor weather resistance and easily turns yellow even when exposed to ultraviolet rays emitted from fluorescent lamps.
The main cause of this is that the surface becomes more easily contaminated due to the bleed of plasticizer onto the surface.
Solving the problems of surface contamination and yellowing has become an extremely important problem in PVC wallpaper.

Laminating a weather-resistant acrylic film on the surface has been considered as a way to solve this problem for a long time, but it was not economically viable.
Films need to be as thin as possible for reasons such as flame retardancy, and when such thin acrylic films are laminated on the surface, their luster hardly disappears when subjected to normal heat embossing.
For this reason, it has not been put into practical use as wallpaper because it looks cheap and has little commercial value.

In other words, the present invention combines the acrylic multilayer polymer, which not only has excellent properties such as weather resistance, but also has excellent film formability, with not only excellent matting effect but also
An elegantly matte 15~ obtained by adding a polymeric matting agent that hardly reduces the film-forming properties and physical properties of the acrylic multilayer polymer that serves as the base material. By laminating a film with a thickness of approximately 75 μm on the surface of PVC wallpaper, it has an elegantly matte and beautiful appearance, and even after long periods of use, this beautiful appearance is maintained. The present invention relates to wallpaper of extremely high commercial value, which is almost undamaged.

For example, acrylic multilayer polymers shown in Japanese Patent Publication No. 49-46159, etc. can be mentioned, and other similar known acrylic multilayer polymers can also be used, but the invention is not necessarily limited to these. .

また、本考案に用いうる艶消し剤は (1) 艶消し効果にすぐれ (2) 基材の製膜性や諸物性を低下させない。 In addition, the matting agent that can be used in this invention is (1) Excellent matte effect (2) Does not reduce film formability or physical properties of the base material.

Any inorganic matting agent may be used, but if a normal inorganic matting agent is added, it will not be possible to form the desired thin film. In most cases, it is extremely difficult to form a film, and even if it is possible to form a film, the physical properties of the film will be significantly degraded, and the appearance of the film will be rather unsightly.

Therefore, as a matting agent, a polymer-based matting agent that has moderate compatibility with the resin is used, and in particular, from the viewpoint of weather resistance, a cross-linked polymer type matting agent based on (meth)acrylic acid ester/aromatic vinyl monomer is used. Agents are preferred, and typical examples include

The thickness of the matte film used in this invention is 15
~75μ, preferably 20 to 50μ; films with a diameter of 15μ or less do not have sufficient weather resistance and yellow in a relatively short period of time. On the other hand, films with a thickness of 75μ or more pose problems in terms of flame retardancy and are also disadvantageous in terms of cost. Various additives and fillers can be added to the film that can be used in the product of the present invention, as long as they do not reduce the physical properties of the film or various physical properties. In particular, it is possible to add an appropriate amount of ultraviolet absorber. Needless to say, the effect of the invented product is further enhanced. Additionally, the addition of appropriate amounts of flame retardants often provides a favorable effect. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain a colored matte film by adding pigments or the like, and it is also possible to print on the matte film.

The resulting wallpaper was elegantly matte and had an extremely high design quality. Furthermore, when the wallpaper of the present invention and the conventional wallpaper were tested using a fade meter, the conventional wallpaper completely yellowed in about 100 hours, but the product of the present invention hardly yellowed even after about 300 hours.
