Abstract

PURPOSE:A snow melting material for preventing scattering, which will neither scatter nor disappear uselessly during application, and not settle in snow, obtained by blending raw material powder with black pigment and a binder solution granulating the blend to give a specific particle size constitution. CONSTITUTION:Raw material powder such as calcium carbonate, etc. is blended with black pigment such as carbon black, etc. and a binder solution such as pulp waste liquor, etc., and granulated to give the aimed snow melting material for preventing scattering, having a particle size distribution comprising 60-80wt% particles with 0.35-1.2mm particle diameter. Black rouge, fly ash, etc., may be cited as the black pigment besides same and waste molasses or alcohol waste liquor may be cited as the binder solution.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention is a snow-melting material that is used in snowy areas to spread on snow-covered surfaces to promote snow melting. This invention relates to an anti-scattering snow melting material that prevents snow melting and settling during snowfall.

Conventionally, powdered and granular snow melting materials are known. The former, that is, powder, includes fly ash, calcium carbonate with carbon black, etc.
Most of this powdered snow melting material has particles with a diameter of less than 0.100, and even the slightest breeze will scatter the snow melting material when it is spread, making it difficult to spread it accurately onto the snow-covered surface you are trying to melt, or to prevent it from touching your clothes or skin. Furthermore, carbon black, which has a low specific gravity, is blown away by the wind even after being spread, making it impossible to effectively collect sunlight on the snow surface.

In this respect, for example, a so-called granular snow melting material, which is made by mixing carbon black with calcium carbonate and granulating it using an appropriate binder liquid, can solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of powdered snow melting materials. However, as long as this granular snow melting material is granulated by transferring the raw material powder to it using a transfer type granulator while spraying a binder liquid, the particle size of this granular snow melting material is usually 1 to 4 grains. Since most of them are relatively large, they tend to settle during the snowfall and are not able to effectively collect sunlight when they are on the snow surface.
Even if the amount of snow melting material is the same, the total surface area is smaller than that of powdered snow melting material, and the light collection rate is therefore lower. There was a problem in that it required spraying.

Therefore, the anti-scattering snow melting material of the present invention is intended to solve the above-mentioned problems of powdery or granular snow melting materials.

By this kneading, the calcium carbonate and carbon blank are mixed uniformly, and it is presumed that the calcium carbonate particles adhere a small amount of carbon blank in a thin film form to each surface of the calcium carbonate particles due to the pulp waste liquid.

This completed the pre-granulation stage treatment, and then it was fed to the transfer type granulator 4, and at the same time, +r/h was added by spraying to the pulp waste liquid 105 as a binder liquid and granulated. At this time, the rotational speed of the granulator 4 was set to 14 RPM, and the inclination angle was set to 55°. After granulating with the granulator 4, it is placed in a rotary dryer 5 and dried to a moisture content of about 0.2 to 1.0%. In addition to the drying function, this dryer 5 breaks down the lump-like portions where particles adhere to each other and sorts the particles.
