式のものが多くなり、この欠点が問題視されている。

パイプの洗浄方法を要旨とする。

放置して、発泡した洗剤をパイプ内壁にくっついた汚れ
と反応させた。そのあと適量の水を用いてパイプ内壁面
を洗い流したところ、いやな臭いはなくなり爽やかな香
りとなり、汚れはほとんど除去できた。一方、比較のた
め市販品のパイプクリーナーとして粉末タイプ(メタケ
イ酸ソーダ、過炭酸ソーダ或いはスルファミン酸を主体
とし、これに界面活性剤を配合したもの)及び液体タイ
プ(苛性ソーダ或いは次亜塩素酸ソーダを主体とし、こ
れに界面活性剤を配合したもの)のものを用いて、同様
に汚れた台所の排水パイプ内にふりかげ又は流し込んだ
ところ、これらの洗剤はパイプの内壁面への付着は少な
く、水を注入して洗い流したが、臭いは完全にとれず汚
れも残っていた。
