Abstract

PURPOSE:To coat a grooved and a notched part and to perform coating efficiently by transferring relatively a brush while bringing it into contact with the surface of a material to be coated and feeding paint to a prescribed position of the front part of the brush. CONSTITUTION:In relation to an apparatus performing the automatic coating for a material to be coated, the fixed members 27 having the brushes 26 to the tips thereof are perforated by a brush holding rod 25 and the brushes 26 are positioned so that these are brought into contact with a groove 11 and the notches 12, 13 of a sheet member 10. The paint tanks 28 are held on the upper parts of the parallel columns 22 and the feed hoses 30 are elongated from the tanks 28 and the tips thereof are set to the neighborhood of the tips of the brushes 26 and paint is fed to a prescribed position of the front part of the transferring direction. The brush-main bodies are turned around the pivoting axes and simultaneously the sheet member 10 is transferred. In such a way, the coating of the grooved and the notched parts of the surface of the material to be coated can be performed and the highly efficient coating is performed.

On the other hand, in the case of a spray method in which paint is sprayed onto the surface of the object to be painted, there are fewer unpainted areas as described above, but not only does the coating efficiency decrease as the paint scatters in the air, but also the paint scatters. The drawback is that environmental problems such as the effects of the organic solvents contained in the paint on the human body cannot be ignored.

At the bottom of the arm 34, a brush body 36 having a brush 26a at its tip is pivotally supported by a pivot shaft 37, and the angle between the arm 34 and the brush body 36 can be changed. A paint discharge pipe 39 to which the paint supply hose 30a is connected is provided at the end of the brush body 36, and a tip 40 of the paint discharge pipe 39 opens in front of the brush 26a. The arm 34' also has a pivot shaft 37.
Another brush (not shown) similar to the brush 26a can be set through the same brush body 36, and the brush can be replaced instantly by turning the handle 24. I can do it.

First, the positions of the grooves 11 and notches 12 and 13 existing in the sheet member 10 shown in FIG. 1 are confirmed. And the brush fixing member 2
7a to 27c are slid on the brush support rod 25, and the brushes 26a to 26C are positioned near the upper part of the groove 11 or notch 12.13, as shown in FIG. is tightened to the brush support rod 25 by a knob 32. Further, after the arm 33 is moved up and down, the knob 35 is tightened to perform positioning in the height direction. Furthermore, the angles of the tips of the brushes 26a to 26G are
This is determined by rotating the brush body 36 around the pivot shaft 37 (FIG. 2). Since the paint discharge tube 39 is fixed to the brush body 36, when the inclination angle of the brush body 36 changes, the inclination angle of the paint discharge tube 39 changes accordingly, making it possible to always supply paint to the front of the brush 26a. can.

Next, the paint tanks 28a to 28c are filled with paint so that the paint can be supplied through the paint supply hoses 30a to 30c. Then, when the wheel conveyor 21 is rotated to introduce the sheet member 10 and move it in the six directions of the arrow 1, paint is continuously supplied onto the groove 11 and the notches 12 and 13 from the tip 40 of the paint discharge pipe 39. Then, as the sheet member 10 moves, the brushes 26a to 26'c in contact with the surface of the sheet member 10 apply this paint to the surfaces of the grooves 11 and the notches 12.13. 1 sheet member 1
When the coating of 0 is completed, other sheet members are introduced one after another and the same process is performed. Before and after painting process and brush 2
When inspecting the brushes 6a to 26G, by operating the handle 24, the brushes 26a to 26G can be rotated in the direction of arrow B to perform inspection or replacement.

On the other hand, the flat parts other than the grooves 11 and notches 12, 13 may be coated continuously after this treatment using a roller method or the like, and such a mechanism can also be incorporated into this apparatus. Although it is possible to paint the flat parts before the above-mentioned treatment, in the case of painting with a brush, the grooves 11 and notches 12.1
3, the paint may protrude to the surrounding flat areas to some extent, so in order to flatten them, it is desirable to paint the flat areas after this treatment. Also, the brush 26a

For example, as shown in FIG. 3(a), the tip of the paint discharge tube 9 is placed adjacent to the brush 26a to supply paint onto the brush 26a, or as shown in FIG. 3(b), the paint is supplied into the brush body 36. It is also possible to provide a through hole 41 and supply paint onto the brush 26a from inside the brush 26a through the through hole 41. Also,

A clip 42 is provided at the tip of the brush 26a, and the clip 42 grips the brush 26a, so that the paint can be applied to the brush 26a.
It may be supplied on top of the Furthermore, it is not essential that the tip of the paint supply mechanism be adjacent to the brush; for example, as shown in Figure 3 (
As shown in d), the tip of the paint supply mechanism can be supported separately from the brush 26a using a support rod 43, so that paint can be supplied at any position in front of the brush.

Further, in the above embodiment, the sheet member 10 as the object to be painted is moved, but on the contrary, the brushes 26a to 26c, the paint supply mechanism, etc. may be moved to perform the painting.
It is sufficient that relative movement is achieved. Moreover, the same treatment is possible for objects to be coated, not only sheet members but also wire rods and others.
