Conventionally, for example, with a side-viewing endoscope, when passing through the narrow esophagus, the mucous membrane is in contact with or extremely close to the objective lens surface, so it is almost impossible to observe the esophagus, and biopsy and cytology are also difficult. It was impossible. Furthermore, even with a direct-viewing endoscope, it is extremely difficult to perform a biopsy of such a narrow esophagus, and a thorough examination cannot be performed.

The present invention will be explained below based on embodiments shown in the drawings. 1 to 3 show a first embodiment of the present invention, and this first embodiment is a side-view gastroscope. In the figure, 1 is an operating section, and 2 is a flexible tube.
The flexible tube 2 is constructed by covering the outer periphery of a band-shaped spiral 3 with a cladding tube 4 made of a flexible material.
An objective lens 5 is provided on the side surface of the tip end of the flexible tube 2. Furthermore, an optical transmission fiber bundle 6 is provided within the flexible tube 2. A prism 7 and a lens 8 are provided between the objective lens 5 and the distal end surface of the optical transmission fiber bundle 6, and are configured to form an image on the distal end surface of the optical fiber bundle 6. Further, the operating section 1 is provided with an eyepiece lens 9 facing the base end surface of the optical transmission fiber bundle 6, and is configured to magnify the image transmitted by the optical transmission fiber bundle 6. When the tip of the flexible tube 2 reaches the deep part of the stomach at the middle part of the flexible tube 2, the border between the esophagus and the stomach, that is, the part corresponding to the cardia (near 30 to 40 cm from the tip) The spiral tubes 3 having different diameters are connected by a connecting member 10, and the diameter of the flexible tube 2 is reduced at this portion on the proximal end side. A cell collection body 11 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the flexible tube 2 in this part, so that the outer peripheral surface of the tip side of the flexible tube 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the cell collection body 11 are located on approximately the same plane. It is composed of As shown in FIG. 3, this cell collection body 11 is made up of a strip-shaped base 12 made of a flexible material, with fine brush-like unevenness 13 formed on the surface, and an adhesive 14 coated on the back surface. The flexible tube 2 is wound around the outer periphery of the flexible tube 2 and bonded thereto.

The first embodiment of the present invention configured as described above is as follows:
When performing a test by inserting the flexible tube 2 into the stomach through the esophagus, when the flexible tube 2 is removed, the unevenness 13 of the cell collection body 11 comes into contact with the esophageal mucosa and removes the cells on the surface. Scrape it off and hold it within this unevenness 13. Therefore, after removing the flexible tube 2, cells adhering to the surface of the cell collecting body 11 can be collected for cytodiagnosis. Furthermore, since the cell collection body 11 is adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the flexible tube 2 via the adhesive 14, it can be easily replaced every time a test is performed. Note that the present invention is not limited to the first embodiment described above.

For example, FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the outer peripheral surface of an annular fitting member 16 having a cut 15 made of an elastic material is similar to that of the first embodiment. This fitting member 16 is attached to the flexible tube 2 of the endoscope.
It fits around the outer periphery of the This second embodiment has the advantage that the cell collection body 11 together with the fitting member 16 can be easily attached and detached. Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the second embodiment described above.

As described above, in the present invention, a cell collecting body having fine irregularities on the surface is attached to the outer periphery of a flexible tube. Therefore, even in narrow body cavities where inspection is difficult, cytodiagnosis can be performed by scraping cells from the surface of the mucous membrane using the unevenness of this cell sample, and its effectiveness is great, such as easy cytodiagnosis. It is.
