Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of crossover tracks among plural printed base boards by separating a signal transfer connector connected to a numerical controller from those printed base boards and at the same time providing a signal converter, etc. to each base board. CONSTITUTION:An input signal converter 30, an output signal converter 31, a signal selection circuit 32 and a signal distribution circuit 33 are attached to the printed base boards 20a-20f respectively in response to the types of signals that are transferred by trunk cables 12a-12g relayed by signal transfer connectors 15a-15g attached to the boards 20a-20f. At the same time, a circuit is provided to transfer the signals produced with addition of an option function via the cable 12b. This circuit is incorporated to the board 20b. In such a way, the number of crossover tracks can be decreased among those printed base boards with an easy countermeasure to the increase of the signals to be transferred owing to the addition of the option function.

However, while signals are sent and received on the numerical control device side via a connector, signals on the sequence controller side are sent and received via a screw terminal block attached to the input/output card. A large number of cards not only makes on-site wiring work extremely troublesome, but also requires a large number of input/output cards, leading to the problem of increasing the size of the control device.

On the other hand, since the signals transmitted and received by the relay cables 12d and 12e are only signals transmitted from the numerical control device 13 side to the sequence controller main body 22, such as the M function code, the input signals are transferred to the circuit boards 2Qd and 20f at the IC level. An input signal conversion circuit 30 that converts the signal into a signal, and a signal selection circuit 32 that selects one of the input signals according to the address data on the input/output bus IOB and outputs it to the input signal line of the input/output bus JOB are provided. .

In the numerical control device interface of the sequence controller configured as described above, input signals are sent to each printed circuit board according to the type of signal to be sent and received by the signal sending and receiving connector bodies 15a to 15g on each printed board. Since the conversion circuit 30, output signal conversion circuit 31, signal selection circuit 32, and signal distribution circuit 33 are provided in appropriate combinations, the number of crossover wires between each printed circuit board can be reduced.

<Effects of the Invention> As described above, in the present invention, a plurality of signal transmitting/receiving connector bodies connected to a numerical control device via a connection cable are separately attached to a plurality of printed circuit boards, and a plurality of connector bodies are attached to each printed circuit board. The signal conversion circuit, signal selection circuit, and signal distribution circuit for transmitting and receiving signals with the numerical control device via the attached signal transmitting and receiving connector body are divided and arranged for each printed circuit board. This configuration has the advantage that not only can the number of crossover wires between each printed circuit board be reduced, but also that even if the number of signals to be sent and received increases due to the addition of optional functions, it can be easily handled.
