Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a hot water storage type hot water supply device capable of reducing heat loss and being operated economically, by a system wherein water contained in a lower part of a hot water storing tank is fed back to the vicinity of a hot water tapping port of the tank through a hot water recovering pipe. CONSTITUTION:When hot water supply is started by opening a cock valve 6, a hot water supplying pipe 4 is filled with hot water. A detection signal indicative of the closing of the valve 6 is sent to a controller 10 with a timer, a three-way valve 7 is switched from a-b connection to a-c connection after a predetermined lapse of time, and simultaneously, a circulating pump 8 is operated. As a result, city water contained in the lower part of the hot water storing tank 2 is fed backward to pass through the hot water recovering pipe 9 and the valve 7, and pushes back hot water contained in the pipe 4 between the valve 7 and the tank 2 to an upper part of the tank 2.
