面図、第５図は電気的構成のブロック図、第６図はプリ
ンタコントローラの制御内容を示すフローチャートであ
る。 図中、１はプラテン、２は本体ケース、６はキャリツジ
、１１は開口部、１３はカセットケース、、１４はサー
マルインクリボン、，１８は光学センサ、２４は終了検
知手段、２７はプリンタコントローラ（制御手段）−を
示す。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. サーマルインクリボンが収納され−たカセットケースと
    、このカセソトケース出じ入れ用の開口部を有した本体
    ケースと、この本体ケース内にプラテンに沿って走行す
    るように設けられた前記カセットケースが前記開白部を
    介して装着されるキャリツジとを備えた熱転写形プリン
    タにおいて、前記カセットケース内のサーマルインクリ
    ボンが全て使用されたことを検知して終了信号を出力す
    る終了検知手段と、前記終了信号が出力されたときに前
    記キャリツジを印字動作と無関係に移動させてこれに装
    着された前記カセットケースが前記開口部と対応するよ
    うに位置させる制御手段とを設けたことを特徴とする熱
    転写形プリンタ。
