Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 長さ方向に区分して塗布された複数色の色素のうち少な
    くとも所定の色素間に頭出し用の帯状識別部を有した多
    色サーマルインクリボン若しくは単色サーマルインクリ
    ボンが着脱可能に装着されるように設けられ、前記サー
    マルインクリボンの色素を印字用紙に熱転写させるサー
    マルヘッド並びに該サーマルインクリボンの巻取装置を
    備えた熱転写形プリンタにおいて、前記サーマルインク
    リボンの装着位置にこれと対応するように配置され対応
    されたサーマルインクリボンの色素の濃度に応じたレベ
    ルの信号を発生する光学センサと、前記巻取装置によ２
    て前記サーマルインクリボンを一定量送ると共にこの送
    り期間における前記光学センサの出力に基づいてサーマ
    ルインクリボンの有無並びにその種類を検出する検出回
    路とを設けたことを特徴とする熱転写形プリンタ。
