Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled capsule free from tangle smell and oily smell and takable easily by oral administration, by coating a W/O-type emulsion containing tangle extract with an edible film. CONSTITUTION:A W/O-type emulsion containing tangle extract is produced by adding (A) an emulsifier composed of a sucrose fatty acid ester and a glycerol fatty acid ester and (B) an aqueous solution of tangle extract having an evaporation residue concentration of <=45% to (C) an edible oil or fat such as safflower oil, corn oil, etc., optionally added with vitamin E and/or vitamin F, and emulsifying the mixture. The emulsion is inserted between edible films such as gelatin, sodium aspartate, etc., and is pressed from both sides with a mold to form a capsule.

(Prior Art) Kelp has been widely used as a natural seasoning agent and as a health food. Especially in recent years, as various components contained in kelp have been clarified, its efficacy has been newly discovered. Attention has been paid. For example, laminarin contained in kelp has a blood pressure-lowering effect, and sodium alginate, also contained in kelp, is known to have the effect of suppressing increases in blood cholesterol levels. In addition, kelp is rich in fucodine, which has the effect of preventing cholesterol from adhering to blood vessels, various vitamins including vitamin A, and essential minerals such as potassium, calcium, and iodine. It will be done. Additionally, it has recently been reported that kelp has anticancer effects.

However, since kelp has a unique odor and taste, it is not suitable for regular consumption. Powders and liquid extracts are already available on the market, which are made by extracting the above-mentioned active ingredients from kelp and adding vitamins, etc., but they still have a strong taste and odor peculiar to kelp. Since the odor is noticeable when used as an extract, the conventionally known kelp extract is also difficult to consume on a regular basis. It is difficult to remove the characteristic odor of kelp from the extract by adsorption deodorization using activated carbon or ion exchange resin, boiling, masking, or the like.

(Purpose of the Invention) As a result of intensive research to obtain a kelp extract that does not have the characteristic odor of kelp and is easily edible, the present inventors have discovered a method of dispersing an aqueous solution of kelp extract in edible fats and oils. ,
By forming a water-in-oil emulsion and encapsulating it with an edible film, capsules containing kelp extract that are substantially free of kelp ingredients and oil odor and can be easily eaten can be obtained. Furthermore, we have discovered that it is possible to obtain nutritionally enriched kelp extract-containing capsules by adding vitamins or adding edible fats and oils with a high vitamin content to the edible fats and oils as needed, This led to the present invention.

The aqueous solution of kelp extract obtained by the above extraction process usually has a dilute concentration of active ingredients such as sugar derivatives and minerals when used as is, so it is preferably concentrated before being used for preparing an emulsion. If the concentration is too high, solid content will precipitate from the aqueous solution, so the concentration of evaporation residue in the extract aqueous solution is usually 45% or less, preferably 35-4%.
Concentrate to 0% range. Note that the kelp extract extract aqueous solution may be partially deodorized and decolorized using an ion exchange resin or the like before concentrating it.

In the water-in-oil emulsion containing kelp extract used in the kelp extract-containing capsule of the present invention, it is preferable that the above-mentioned vitamins such as tocopherol are contained in the kelp in small amounts in the oil and fat. It is added to supplement the vitamins that are lacking in kelp extract and to further enhance the effects of kelp extract.

The water-in-oil emulsion containing kelp extract can be coated with the above-mentioned edible film by a conventionally known method of encapsulating a lipophilic substance in soft capsules. for example,
A liquid composition for forming a capsule film such as gelatin is spread thinly, cooled and gelled to form a sheet, a water-in-oil emulsion containing kelp extract is sandwiched between the sheets, and pressed from both sides with a mold. and encapsulating the emulsion in a capsule,
A punching method that combines sheets and punches them out into capsules;
Alternatively, a dripping method is used to produce a so-called seamless capsule by ejecting a liquid composition for forming a capsule coating from the outside of a double nozzle and an emulsion from the inside thereof and releasing them into a cooling solvent. are representative examples.
