Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce capacity of a welding device and scattering of a molten metal by performing chamfering on the edge part facing the other electrode while performing no chamfering on the edge part of a junction surface. CONSTITUTION:The chamfers 11a and 12a are given to the part facing the other electrode out of respective faces of the parts 11 and 12 in order to maintain a withstanding voltage property. Chamfering is not performed on the parts of the jucture surfaces 11b and 12b for improving beam weldability. Thereby, no gap is generated at the joint part while enabling to reduce the volume of the molten part 14 by means of a welding beam 13. Accordingly, the capacity of a melting device for welding can be small while enablihg scattering of a molten metal to be reduced.

On the other hand, electrode parts for electron guns are often used with a high potential difference applied between each electrode. However, when beam welding thick plate parts or thick plate parts and other parts that have been chamfered as described above at their joint surfaces, there is a large gap at the seam.

FIG. 1 shows a case in which parts 1.2 whose joining surfaces are also chamfered are joined by a welding beam 3. If there is a large gap at the seam like this, it is necessary to weld parts 1 and 2 reliably.
It is necessary to increase the volume of the molten part 4 to be melted by the bath welding beam 3, requiring a large-capacity welding device, and the molten metal is likely to scatter.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIG. Of each surface of parts 11 and 12, the part facing the other electrode (the part facing the other electrode) is chamfered 1la112a as in the past in order to maintain voltage resistance characteristics. The joint surfaces 11b and 12b are chamfered in order to improve beam weldability. In this way, the bonding surfaces 11b and 12b are not chamfered, and the edges or corners of the bonding surfaces 11b and 12b are not exposed after bonding, so there is no problem in maintaining the withstand voltage characteristics.

In order to obtain the shape of the parts 11, 12 as described above, a one-sided puff polishing method is carried out, for example. Edges and corners of electrode parts processed by press working etc. have not yet been chamfered. Fix this part on a jig with the side that does not require chamfering facing down. Then, apply puff polishing to only the exposed top surface. In order to make the size of the chamfer of each edge uniform, the feed direction during polishing may be performed from the left, right, front, and back directions for the same amount of time.

Such parts 1.1.12 can be manufactured using methods other than the one-sided puff polishing method described above, such as a method of masking one side and performing barrel polishing, a method of barrel polishing the entire surface, and then lapping only the surface that does not require chamfering. t-C is also obtained. The most suitable method should be selected by taking into consideration the factory equipment and the economical efficiency of Kaloe.
