Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive photointerruptor requiring no housing, by respectively molding a light emitting element and a light receiving element in a light pervious resin to mold both of them into separate split pieces and connecting both pieces by simultaneously molded protruded and recessed parts. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element and a light receiving element are molded in a light pervious resin to mold separate split pieces 5. At the time of the moldng of the split pieces 5, a protruded part 6 and a recessed part 7 used in inlaying and locating are formed. A projected part 5a is also provided so as to generate a proper interval D between the light emitting element and the light receiving element when the split pieces 5 are connected. When the split piece 5 of the light emitting element and the split piece 5 of the light receiving element are engaged by the protruded part 6 and the recessed part 7, both of them can be integrated as a photointerruptor.

It is a device that recognizes passing. Conventionally, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, photointerrupters have been manufactured using individual devices in which an infrared light emitting diode chip, which is a light emitting element, and a phototransistor chip, which is a light receiving element, are molded with a resin that transmits infrared light. 1.2 is manufactured, and the device 1.2 of the receiver 1 light emitting element is fixed 4 to the housing 3 using resin or the like.

<Structure of the Invention> The present invention is a method for manufacturing a photointerrupter in which a light emitting element and a light receiving element are combined facing each other at an appropriate interval, and the method comprises molding each of the light emitting element and the light receiving element in a translucent resin. An auto machine characterized by molding into separate divided pieces and simultaneously molding a concave and convex portion for fitting and positioning on each divided piece, and combining both the divided pieces of the light emitting element and the light receiving element with the concave and convex portions. This is a method for manufacturing an interrupter.
