PURPOSE:To provide an external agent for skin, having synergistically improved skin-beautifying effect and high safety and effective remarkably to stains, freckles, dark skin, etc., by using extract of placenta and a hydroquinone glycoside as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective external agent for skin contains (A) 0.001-5wt% extract of placenta (in terms of dried solid) and (B) 6-20wt% hydroquinone glycoside of formula (R is pentose residue, hexose residue, amino sugar residue, uronic acid residue or their methylated products).
