Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable width adjustment to be systemized by allowing an adjustment device for the width of a container containing printed circuit boards to be effected by means of data inputted from either an outside control unit or a manual control. CONSTITUTION:After a magazine has been positioned in a width adjustment device, data required are inputted from either an outside control unit or a manual control section. The inputted data allows bolt adjustment units 6 and 6' which correspond to a bolt 4, to move to the position of the bolt 4 with a motor 9 driven permitting an air cylinder 7 to be forwarded. This allows a rotating connector 8 to be screwed in a hole made on the side of the bolt 4. Subsequently, a rod of the air cylinder 7 is rotated allowing the bolt 4 to be loosened, then, the bolt adjustment units 6 and 6' are moved and positioned. Subsequently, the bolts 4 and 4' are fastened allowing a movable side plate 1' to be fixed, then, the cylinder 7 is retracted. This configuration enables the automation of width adjustment to be systemized.
