Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve measurement precision by providing a slit in which a body to be inspected is charged in a flat bundle shape atop of an arm, and measuring water while charging and supporting the object body in the slit. CONSTITUTION:An attachment 12 which is nearly as wide as the plate type arm 11 of a probe body 10 equipped with a grip part 10a is fitted atop of the arm 11 across a spacer 13 with a screw 12a to form the slit 14 having an object insertion hole 15 at the tip side of the arm 11 between the arm 11 and attachment 12; and tips of the arms 11 and attachment 12 are tapered while peak parts are rounded at the side of the object insertion hole 15 of the slit 14 and the arms 11 and attachments are reduced in thickness toward tips parts, thereby forming a tip expanding part at the side of the insertion hole of the slit 14. Further, the inner wall 14a of the slit 14 is curved toward the insertion hole 15 by forming the formation surface of the spacer 13 for the inner wall 14a arcuately.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, various moisture measuring devices have been proposed that measure moisture in fibrous materials such as hair using dielectric constant, capacitance, resistance, etc. that change depending on moisture. There are various types of probes used in these moisture measuring devices, and among them, a clamp type probe as shown in FIG. 6 is the most convenient in terms of ease of use.

This measures the object 4 by holding it between a pair of arms 2 and 3 that are provided on the probe body l and can be opened and closed. Utilizing the fact that the capacitance of the capacitor configured with the sample changes depending on the amount of water in the sample, the capacitance change of this capacitor is converted into a frequency change by a high-frequency circuit consisting of the electrode 5 and an oscillator connected to it. However, in such conventional probes, the subject 4 is held freely between the pair of arms 2 and 3. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to hold a certain amount of the specimen each time, especially when sampling a specimen that is relatively stiff and slippery, such as hair. It is very difficult to keep the density of the specimen constant for each measurement because the gripping amount and clamping thickness change depending on the displacement of the specimen. However, there was a problem in that variations in density led to measurement errors.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, in the probe of the present invention, a slit that can be filled with a fibrous specimen in the form of a flat bundle is formed at the tip of the arm in the probe body. The slit is provided with a tapered opening on the subject insertion port side, and an electrode for moisture measurement is provided facing into the slit.

(Function) When a large number of fibrous specimens are pressed against the specimen insertion port side of the slit during measurement, the specimens that fit into the expanded portion are guided through the expanded portion and sequentially enter the slit. It is filled and supported in the shape of a flat bundle within the slit.In this state, the water content is measured by an electrode.

The density of the object during this measurement is defined by the slits and is approximately constant depending on the spacing between the slits, so there is no possibility of variation from measurement to measurement.

By attaching an attachment J12 having the same width as the arm 11 with a screw 12a via a spacer 13, a slit 14 having a subject insertion opening 15 on the distal end side of the arm 11 is created between these arms 11 and the attachment 12. On the subject insertion port 15 side of the slit 14, the tips of the arm 11 and attachment 12 are formed into a tapered shape such as a chevron with a rounded top, and the tip of the arm 11 and attachment 12 is The slit 14 is formed to have a thin wall, so that a widening portion 18 is continuously provided on the subject insertion port 15 side of the slit 14.
By forming the forming surface into an arc shape, it is a curved surface that curves toward the insertion port 15 side.

Further, a holder 18 made of an electrically insulating material such as synthetic resin is attached to the arm 11, and a moisture measuring electrode 20 is held in this holder 19 so as to face the slit 14. This electrode 20 may be attached to the attachment 12 side, or if two electrodes are used, one electrode may be attached to both the arm 11 and the attachment 12.

For example, when measuring moisture in hair using a probe having the above configuration, as shown in FIG.
An appropriate amount of hair 18 is pressed against the tip of the arm 11 in a direction perpendicular to the arm 11. Then, the hair gathered in the expanded portion 16 is guided by the expanded portion 1B, compressed and filled into the slit 14, and is supported in the slit 14 in the form of a flat bundle. Then, in this state, the moisture in the hair is measured by the electrodes 20.

In actual measurements, changes in the capacitance of a capacitor made up of electrodes and hair are converted into frequency changes by a high-frequency circuit made up of the electrodes and an oscillator connected to them, and this is converted into voltage etc. by an arithmetic device (not shown). The moisture content is determined from the measurement results and displayed on the display section.
