に地糸１３，１４においてコースｄを編成する。
この時ウエールＣ，Ｅにおいて浮編を行つてお
り、編目を形成しない。次に地糸５，６を用いて
コースｅを編成する。この時、地糸６にてパイル
を形成する。その結果、表目側に、パイル糸が現
われることなく、浮編を含むパイル編地を編成す
ることができる。この実施例では１コースおきに
パイル編を編成しているが、これに限らず柄に応
じて浮編を編成しそれと異なるコースにパイル編
を編成すればよい。また本実施例において１，
２，３，４，５，６……の糸を一つの色に、１
１，１２，１３，１４……の糸を地の一つの色に
より構成すると、編成された生地の表目側におい
て第３図に示す如き市松模様が形成される。また
