Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a looper apparatus by arranging rollers at the both edges of a frame and clockwise turning the frame and adjusting the loop amount by controlling only the turning angle of the frame, in a looper apparatus for strip steel of the continuous hot press equipment. CONSTITUTION:A looper apparatus 2 for strip steel which is installed between a rolling mill group 3 and a bar-member jointing machine 1 consists of two pairs of pinch rollers 10 and 11, speed detectors 4 and 5, frame 12 which crosses with a pass line and is rotatable, looping rollers 7 and 8 arranged at the both edges of the frame 12, driving apparatus for revolving the frame 12, controller 6 for controlling the revolution, etc. Therefore, a loop is formed through the pushing-down operation of one looping roll 8 for the bar member 10 by the revolution of the frame 12 and the pushing-up operation of the other looping roll 7 for the bar member 10.
