Conventionally, there is a known device that uses a photoelectric device to determine whether the abdomen has white skin or the dorsal region with blue skin, and changes the orientation of a switching plate in response to the discrimination signal to align the dorsoventral orientation. This has the disadvantage that the device becomes complicated.

The loading and conveying belts 1 and 2, whose traveling surfaces are horizontal, are installed in series with each other, and a gap 3 is formed between the terminal end 11 of the belt 1 at the front stage and the starting end 21 of the belt 2 at the rear stage. It is constructed so that the gap length or the vertical step difference between the conveying surfaces of the belts 1 and 2 can be adjusted as desired. In use, when a fish is transported with its head at the top, it jumps over this gap 3, but when it is transported with its tail at the beginning, it falls downward through this gap 3. pre-adjusted. The length of this gap or the above-mentioned step depends on the type and size of the fish and the running speed of the front belt 1.

A clamp conveyance belt 4 and a twisting conveyance device 7 are provided in series on the rear stage belt 2. The clamping conveyor belt 4 consists of a pair of left and right belts 4A, B in which both the start end pulley shafts 41A, 41B and the end pulley shafts 42A, 42B are vertically oriented, and the opposing surfaces are substantially perpendicular to the conveyance surface of the rear stage belt 2, and the lower end is connected to the rear stage belt 2. It is provided so as to be close to the belt 2, and the height H from the rear belt 2 to the upper end is approximately equal to or greater than the body H' of the fish body (see Fig. 5), and the opposite surface of the starting end thereof. The distance is such that the fish body being fed while lying on the rear belt 2 can easily enter, and the distance between the facing surfaces at the end is approximately equal to the left and right width of the fish body, so the distance between the facing surfaces gradually narrows. It is formed like this. This clamping and conveying belt 4 is driven to travel by two sets of bevel gears 6A and 6B that engage with a drive shaft 5.

The torsional conveyance device 7 includes, for example, a pair of clamping conveyance belts 7A and 7B. The distance between the facing surfaces of the belts 7A, 7B is almost equal to the horizontal width of the fish body from beginning to end, and the starting end pulley shafts 71A, 71B are vertical, but the end pulley shafts 72A, 72B are tilted almost horizontally, so that the belt traveling surface is twisted by almost 90°. These belts 7A and 7B can be driven by two sets of bevel gears (not shown) in the same manner as the above-mentioned clamping conveyor belt 4, and also can be driven by two sets of bevel gears (not shown).
It can also be driven by engaging the terminal end pulley of and the starting end pulley of the torsional conveyor belts 7A, 7B with gears or the like.

In the above device, if the fish placed on the front belt 1 has its head at the front, the head will reach the rear belt 2 while the body rests on the front belt 1. is transferred onto the rear belt without falling from the gap 3. On the other hand, when the tail is at the front, the tail fin is more flexible than the skull, so it falls from the gap 3 when the front belt is folded back. Further, even when the head-to-tail direction is substantially perpendicular to the belt running direction, the belt rolls over at the end of the front stage belt and falls through the gap.

As shown in FIG. 4, the fish lying on the rear belt 2 in this way has its head center line A inclined in such a direction that the dorsal fin side is higher, and the height of the gripping conveyor belt 4 is Since H is sufficiently high compared to the lying fish body, as the distance between the facing surfaces of the gripping conveyance belt 4 gradually narrows, the fish always stands up with its dorsal fin facing upward, and the terminal end of the gripping conveyance belt 4 As shown in Figure 5, it assumes a completely upright posture with its dorsal fin facing upward. The next twisting conveyance device 7 accepts the fish with its head at the top and its dorsal fin facing up, twists it approximately 90 degrees in the same direction, and slides it onto the rear belt 2, so that the end of the rear belt Fish bodies are taken out one by one from the fish section, with the head at the front and the fish lying dorsally and ventrally aligned as viewed from the direction of travel. Moreover, since the distance between the facing surfaces of the torsional conveyance device 7 is made almost equal to the left-right width of the fish body from beginning to end, there is no fear that the fish body will collapse or become distorted and fall over during the torsional conveyance.

As explained above, according to the present invention, fish bodies can be taken out with their dorsal and ventral orientations aligned only by the combination of continuously running belts, making it possible to obtain a highly reliable device with a simple configuration.
