For example, water (sea) from ships or land tanks, etc.
Oil fences are used to prevent the spread of spilled oil and collect it. Incidentally, this type of oil fence generally includes at least a skirt portion 4, a floating body portion 2, and a weight portion 3, as shown in FIG. 1, for example.

Now, when there is an oil spill, oil fences of unit length are connected and placed on the water, but in this case, there are cases where the oil fence of unit length is connected in advance on land and then pulled out onto the water.
There are cases where a unit length oil fence is thrown onto the water and connected above the water.

That is, the method of the present invention uses an oil fence that is provided with a pipe with a slit for inserting a connection adapter in the vertical direction at the end of the oil fence to be connected.
After joining the ends of both oil fences that float on the water and are to be connected, insert the core rod of the connection adapter, which is a sheet-like body with core rods at both ends, into the pipe with a slit for inserting the connection adapter through the slit, and the connected oil It is characterized by preventing oil leakage from between the ends of the fence. In the present invention, the terms "upper" and "lower" refer to the upper and lower sides of the oil fence when it is floating on water.

On the other hand, separate core rods 10, 1 are attached at both ends as shown in FIG.
A connection adapter 12 made of a sheet-shaped body, for example, a rubber-coated cloth 11, is prepared. The pipes 7 and 7' have a diameter of 75 mm and are lined with elastic foam such as foamed polyethylene or foamed rubber.
FRP pipes, pipes 9 and 9' have a diameter of 30 mm, for example.
The FRP pipe and core rods 10, 10' are, for example, plastic pipes.

The slitted pipes 7, 7' can be attached to the ends of the oil fences 1, 1' by, for example, gluing a flexible sheet (for example, rubberized cloth) to the outside of the pipes, or by processing fins on the pipes and attaching them to the fins and ends. Attach by fixing the parts. Furthermore, the pipes 9, 9' are attached to the slitted pipes 7, 7' by, for example, adhesive bonding or integral molding.
