Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive an assembling work to be made easy and a mass productivity to be improved by making a construction of a head section of an ink jet recording apparatus to be a modular system. CONSTITUTION:This ink jet head is made into a modular system with a head body 1, a nozzle plate 2, and a vibrator 3 being formed integrally. The sizes of the outside diameter D and a length L of the head body 1 are determined such that the D and the L are made larger than a resonance frequency by 5-20% previously, since the resonance point is determined by these sizes, and in the forming time thereof, the vibrator 3 is inserted into the head body 1 and formed integrally. A fusion between the nozzle plate 2 and a resin is difficult since the former is composed by metal. A resin coating or a bonding material is applied to a position where the nozzle plate is removed previously, then the injected resin is melted thereon, since the nozzle plate 2 is made of metal and it is difficult to be melted with the resin. In this manner, an effect of a mass productivity can be obtained by reducing a number of parts of the head construction and simplifying thereof.

Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view for explaining an example of a conventional inkjet head. In the figure, 1 is a head body, 2 is a nozzle plate, 3 is a vibrator, and 4 is a device that excites the vibrator 3. As is well known, the ink is pressurized into the ink pressurized liquid chamber la of the head body 1, and the vibrator 3 is excited to eject an ink stream from the nozzle 2a. Separating into ink droplets according to the excitation frequency,
Printing is performed by flying the ink droplets onto a recording medium. The conventional inkjet head described above has a structure in which the head body, nozzle plate, and vibrator are separated, which makes assembly work difficult and has the drawback of lacking mass productivity.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes a head body having an ink chamber, a vibrator that excites the ink in the ink chamber, and a nozzle plate that ejects ink droplets from the ink chamber. The head main body is made of resinous material, and the vibrator and nozzle plate are integrally molded onto the head main body.

It is molded. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the vibrator 3 is embedded in the head body 1, but the point to be considered in the design of this embodiment is that the head body 1
Since the resonance point is determined by the outer diameter and length L of
These dimensions are set to be 5 to 20% higher than the resonance frequency, and the vibrator 3 is inserted and integrated into the head body 1 during molding. In addition, since the nozzle plate 2 is made of metal, it is difficult to melt it with resin, so a resin coat or adhesive is applied to the area other than the nozzle plate in advance to melt the injected fat. It is better to make it . In addition, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable to join the objects to be inserted at the time of injection, that is, the nozzle plate 2 and the vibrator 3 in advance, and to integrally mold these parts at the time of molding. This facilitates mold processing, and by directly vibrating the nozzle plate 2, a highly efficient head can be obtained. Furthermore, the embodiment shown in FIG.
The inner diameter part of the vibrator 3 of the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 is thinned out,
This simplifies the radial vibration. However, in this case, since the inner diameter portions of the vibrator 3 come into contact with each other, it is necessary to apply an inner surface coating to prevent the ink from eluting from the inner surface.
