  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 プラテンの下方であつて、該プラテンに平行に
    、かつ互いに垂直方向に移動可能な第１および第
    ２の遮光膜を有する複写既機おいて、該第１およ
    び第２の遮光膜の先端部近傍の側部に設けられた
    ホームポジシヨンを指示するための第１および第
    ２の目印し、 該第１および第２の目印しを検出する第１およ
    び第２の目印し検出手段、 該第１および第２の遮光膜の先端部の所定位置
    に設けられた第１および第２の原稿検知手段、 該第１および第２の遮光膜の移動量を電気的な
    パルス信号で出力する第１および第２のエンコー
    ダ、 前記第１および第２の目印検出手段の出力信号
    によつて前記エンコーダ出力のカウントを開始し
    、前記第１および第２の原稿検知手段の出力信号
    によつて前記エンコーダ出力のカウントを終了す
    る手段、 および、前記エンコーダ出力のカウント値に基
    づいて、種々の原稿サイズに対応する第１および
    第２の遮光膜移動量に関するデータを求める又は
    補正する手段、 とを具備したことを特徴とする複写機の原稿サイ
    ズ検出装置。
