Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of cables between a CCU section and a camera head section by applying constant current type pulse amplitude conversion to a control signal transmitted from the CCU section, applying time division multiplex to the result and transmitting it to a camera head section. CONSTITUTION:The titled system consists of a camera head section B a CCU section A controlling the camera head section B, the CCU section A is provided with pulse amplitude converting circuits 8-10 for a control signal of control signal generating circuits 1-3, and a pulse signal is multiplexed on a transmission cable 11 through time division. The transmitted pulse signal is converted into a DC signal by sample-and-hold circuit 12-14 at the camera head section B, sent to a signal processing circuit 7, where the signals are controlled. The plural control signals from the CCU section are multiplexed on one cable and the total cost as the camera system is decreased.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention Therefore, the conventional method described above requires cables only for control signals, and has the drawback that the more signals are exchanged between the CCU section and the camera head section, the more cables are required.

The present invention reduces the number of cables between the CCU section and the camera head section, and obtains a stable signal at the camera head section even if the length of the cable between the CCU section and the camera throat section is changed arbitrarily. It provides a camera system.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to achieve the above object, the present invention performs constant current pulse amplitude conversion on the signals that control the camera head from the CCU section, and time-divides each pulse signal into one cable. It is designed to be multiplexed and transmitted to the camera head.

As shown in C→, it is converted into a DC signal and sent to the signal processing circuit 7, where it can be controlled individually. Since it can be multiplexed into multiple cameras, the total cost of the camera system is low and it is easy to construct. However, since the number of connectors used to connect cables can be reduced, the camera head can also be made smaller.
