このように本発明によるときは、長尺物の走行方向の前
後に無端条で連結されるダンサ−O−ルを該長尺物に懸
架して設け、両ダンサーロールの中間に該長尺物に沿わ
せてこれの走行を停止させるブレーキ装置を設け、該無
端条の駆動輪をクラッチを介して原動機に連結し、該ブ
レーキ装置の作動による該長尺物の停止中にこれの物理
的、化学的性状を測定する測定器を作動させるように構
成したので、長尺物の物理的、化学的性状をその走行中
に測定器により測定する前記従来装置に比して、測定装
置の構造を簡単にすることができると共に、市販の廉価
な測定器を用いて長尺物の物理的、化学的性状を確実に
