  1. 記録材上のトナー像を閉光放電管のフラツシユ
    光で定着するフラツシユ定着装置において、該記
    録材の幅に対応させ、前記定着装置の幅方向の照
    射面積を可変制御する手段を有することを特徴と
    するフラツシユ定着装置。
