Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a data recorder by selecting the position of a data image optionally by adjusting time from the start of a scan on an original to the light emission of a lighting device. CONSTITUTION:A latent image is formed on a photosensitive drum 2 through a slit 1 and then made visual by a developer 3 to be transferred to copying paper 4; an adocorotron 8 is arranged away from the slit 1 in the turning direction of the drum 2, and a data projecting device 9 is also arranged far away from the slit 1. The date projecting device 9 receives a data printing member 11 in a housing 10 through a rail 12 to illuminate it with a lamp 13; a lighting controller is operated to adjust a time from the start of an original scan to the light emission of the lamp 13, changing a recording position for a data image from the front edge of the copying paper optionally.
