Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain uniform output characteristics among bands by inserting a switching diode to an IF output circuit in order to switch the output impedance of the IF output circuit in a reception switching mode between VHF high and low channels. CONSTITUTION:In a VHF high channel reception mode, the +B voltage is applied to a terminal 1 with a terminal 2 grounded. The switching diodes D1-D3 of each tuning circuit are short-circuited, and each tuning circuit is set in a high band reception mode. At the same time, a switching diode D4 is also short- circuited to obtain the desired IF output characteristics. While the +B voltage is applied to the terminal 1 together with the voltage higher than the level of the terminal 1 applied to the terminal 2 respectively in a VHF low channel reception mode. Then the diodes D1-D3 are opened and each tuning circuit is changed to a low band reception state. At the same time, the diode D4 is also opened and a resistance R4 is put in series into a variable inductance for tuning of IF output.
