A reinforcement is bonded and fixed to the wheel apron member at the front of the vehicle body, and the wheel apron member and the reinforcement form a closed cross-section member that forms both side frames of the engine room, and the outer side of the member is connected to the front. It is normal that the structure is covered by a fender (for example, the

The present invention utilizes a closed cross-section member composed of the wheel apron member and reinforcement as described above, and allows heated air in the engine room to flow through the closed cross-section member to dry the area around the closed cross-section member. By providing multiple circulation holes in the closed section member to prevent the occurrence of rust and to circulate the air in the engine compartment, the buckling deformation of the reinforcement in the event of a vehicle collision is smoothed, and the impact energy is reduced. It is designed to improve absorption performance.
The present invention will be explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the present invention, an inner flow hole 8 is provided in the rear part of the wheel apron 1 to communicate between the engine room 6 and the inside of the closed cross-section member 3, and an outer flow hole 8 is provided in the front part of the reinforcement 2 to communicate between the inside of the closed cross-section member 3 and the outside. A hole 9 is provided so that hot air in the engine room 6 flows through the closed section member 3 through the inner flow hole 8 and flows into the inner side of the fender 4 through the outer flow hole 9.

The inner and outer flow holes 8 and 9 are the third and fourth holes.
As shown in the figure, each hole is formed in a structure in which a large number of vertically long strip-shaped holes are provided in parallel. Also good.

With the above configuration, the hot air in the engine room 6 flows through the closed section member 3 and reaches the fender 4, which dries the area around the wheel apron 1, which is the most humid area, and prevents rust from forming at the fixed joints of each plate. At the same time, the hot air also flows through the hole 10 provided in the closed cross-section member 3 to the fender mirror portion, etc., thereby preventing the occurrence of rust on the fender mirror mounting portion.

In addition, since the hot air in the engine room 6 is guided to the fender 4, snow and the like adhering to the inside of the wheel house can be removed through the muzzle guard 5.

Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the closed section member 3 is provided with many flow holes 8 and 9, the buckling deformation of the closed section member 3 at the time of a vehicle collision occurs smoothly, and the absorption performance of collision energy is improved. This can be greatly improved and can bring about great practical effects.
