方向に所定間隔をおいて配置されていてコピー紙
を収容する複数のビンと、上記コピー紙搬送手段
により送られてくるコピー紙をビンへ案内する昇
降可能なコピー紙偏向手段と、このコピー紙偏向
手段を昇降させる昇降手段と、上記コピー紙偏向
手段を上昇または下降させる場合にコピー紙偏向
手段をビンごとに停止させる位置決め手段を具備
してなるソーターにおいて、上記ビンにコピー紙
が排出されたことを検知するコピー紙排出センサ
と、これの検知信号に基づいてコピー紙がジヤム
したことを検知するジヤム検知手段と、これによ
りコピー紙がジヤムしたことを検知された場合に
コピー紙偏向手段を一度ホームポジシヨンに戻し
た後に再びコピー紙がジヤムしたビンに対応した
位置に移動させる偏向手段位置調整手段とを具備
