Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of a position by means of resistance, by a method wherein resistance members are attached to both gunnels of a drag head for a drag suction dredger so that they can be protruded downward and retracted. CONSTITUTION:Flat panels 11, serving as a resistance member, are mounted to both gunnels of a drag head 4 so that they can be protruded downward and retracted, and either of the flat panels 22 can be selectively protruded through the working of a driving device 13 formed with a hydraulic cylinder 10. During a normal dredging work, the flat panels 11 are lifted up, and when the drag head 4 is moved in either direction of right and left, the flat panel 11 on the reverse side is protruded into earth. This causes resistance of sea bottom earth 7 to be exerted on the flat panel 11 to move a dredger in the opposite direction, resulting in the possibility to facilitate adjustment of a position.
